Ch. 26 – No time like the holidays for an unfortunate accident

We were going to stick around until after Thanksgiving.  The Wednesday before thanksgiving we drove up to Max’s parents, we parked at the store and took the fiat over to their house.  We were going to help his mom get stuff ready for the feast the next day and visit while Carl closed the store.

We had parked in the parking lot of the grocery store so many times, that Carl ended up running a electric outlet out to one of the light poles, we had a key to the outlet box so nobody else could use it.

As soon as we walked in David ran to the door and gave me a hug; I could tell he was thickly diapered under his sweatpants. He then proceeded to hug Max, and wanted to show me some new stuff he got.  He had saved up his allowance to get some printed onesies like I had and a pair of footed PJ’s too.  “That’s cool buddy”, I thought thinking back to how it all started with me that many years ago

“I pretty much came home from school and got diapered today.  I do that often.  Mom and dad are ok with it too” He said, like it is something totally normal for a 12 year old to be doing

“If that’s what you want to do, but you don’t want to stay stuck in the house all the time, playing in your diapers.  You need to have time with your friends too, so don’t let diapers take over your life” I said

“I understand, mom and dad tell me the same stuff too.  I wore diapers pretty much all summer, it was hard for me to go back to school and be out of them.  I almost had an accident once.” He said

“Yeah, at this point, there’s no way I could go without mine.  It’s been 26 months now.” I said

“This summer my friend Will was over here, and I had a diaper on and he saw it.  He said he would not tell anybody and I don’t think he has” David said

“Yeah you have to be careful, as many people don’t understand and just want to embarrass you or make fun of you.” I said, wanting to warn him of the perils of telling others you think you can trust, only to find out you are wrong.

“I don’t think he will do that, he slept over and asked to try one on too and wore it all night” He said

“Well that’s nice.  We better get to the kitchen to help your mom before she sends Max into get us” I said

Max and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with his folks and then went out to dinner with mine the next afternoon.

After that we headed down south again to Florida, down to Key West for a week, then outside Orlando for another 3 weeks.  We were enjoying the sun, sand and warmth greatly, I had already gotten a space for my folks at the campground and they were supposed to be down the week before Christmas, driving the old RV.

About a week before they were to arrive, I was helping Max carry some stuff out of the RV and I opened the door and stepped out and fell flat on my face.  I missed the top step entirely and fell to the ground.  I immediately felt a very sharp pop in my wrists followed by the searing pain in both.  I tried to get up but could not, then all I could do was wail for daddy.  Max ran to the door and hopped out noticing me on the ground.

“Oh my god what the hell happened” Max yelled as a small crowd began to form.

“I dunno my arms and hands hurt so much daddy” I cried

a camper said he called 911, and another came over and looked at me and said it looked broken.

The pain was so bad I think I passed out, i’m a big baby about pain.  I woke up when the ambulance came and I was loaded up on the stretcher.  Max did not come but said he would be right behind us in the car.

I was so scared and in pain, but they gave me some stuff to dull the pain.

The ER doctor had me x-rayed and CAT scanned, but I was pretty much out of it form the pain meds.  I remember somebody saying “this is going to make you really sleepy and when you wake up we’ll be done”

Next thing I know I was waking up in another room and it was night time.

“Hey buddy” Max said as he caressed my hair, you’ve been through a lot, just rest.

“What, ow!!” I said as I tried to move a bit

“I don’t know what happened, it was like you missed the top step and then could not get your footing on the bottom one. When you fell you broke your left wrist, and a bone in your right arm, and twisted an ankle too.  You’re pretty messed up” Max said

I had moved my legs because I didn’t feel that normal thickness in between my legs.  “Daddy, am I diapered?”

“No buddy, they put a tube up there” He said, which made me wince, since I knew what he meant.

The nurse came in and asked if I thought I could hold down some water or 7up, to which I tried, a bit later they brought me a protein shake to get me nourished as I hadn’t eaten all day.

I asked if they could take the tube out and let me get diapered back up like I normally am, nope, had to remain in until the morning.

Both of my arms were in big casts, with pins sticking out, and my ankle was wrapped up.  The doctors wanted me to stay in the hospital for a couple days just to make sure my head CT looked better, I guess I banged my head a little.

It was a good thing that I had made max my medical POA so he could be there with me.

I was still pretty tired, and the pain meds made me even more sleepy.  Max had run back to the RV while I was in surgery and said the neighbors were asking about me.  He grabbed my teddy bear and some diapers and ran back before I awoke, so my teddy bear was with me.

Max stayed all night with me, only leaving the next morning to get breakfast.  He had called my parents and they were on their way in my old RV.

Max came back in after they had taken the catheter out and ended up diapering me in one of my diapers, as the hospital ones just sucked.

On the day I got released my parents arrived and were waiting at the RV for me.  My dad and another guy were working on some make shift hand rails for the RV, so I could get in and out easier.

Max took his care giver job very seriously, which included feeding me, as I had no use of either arm for feeding.

Between Max and my mom, they took great care of me for the two weeks we were down there before I was allowed to travel.  One day my mom and Max were out getting groceries, and I was left with dad taking care of me.  Unfortunately the stool softeners that they gave me to overcome the constipation that the pain pills gave me won and, I had an accident.

“Hey dad, I’m going to need some help.  I hate to ask and if I knew when mom or max were coming back I could wait, but I need changed, I’m messy” I said sheepishly

“It’s ok, but just to let you know, I am not nor have I ever been good at this diaper stuff, even when you were a baby” He said as he paused the show he was watching.

He directed me to the bedroom where the changing mat had been left out.  I pointed out where all the supplies he needed were, and he got started.  I’ll admit my dad was not too bad, sure he gagged, I gagged too.

Mom and Max came back right as dad had gotten me changed into a fresh diaper.

“Tim, you never changed diapers before. You always brought him to me to do it when he was little” My mom said

“Well he was stinking up the place and you two were gone so long” dad said

“Thanks dad”

Two days after Christmas I was cleared to travel and we all hit the road.  Dad had towed his little S-10 truck down with them. They got it hitched back up.

We had flown Max’s oldest brother down to Florida the day after Christmas and he was going to help Max drive back so they could switch off and on.  We didn’t really stop and see anything much on the way back, as the goal was home.

When we stopped, I would usually order things like milkshakes and max would mix in protein powder and I’d order finger foods and mom or Max would feed me as well.

It took us 3 days to get home, but it was so nice to be home, where things are not cramped and tiny.

Ch. 25 – Daddy has a surprise

We ended the camping season, Max said to hold off on winterizing and storing the old RV.  Max said that we had some fun trips planned, but it was a surprise that he would tell me this weekend.  We had made reservations for our favorite restaurant for that Saturday.

We had just got dessert and finished when Max pulled out a yellow envelope.  “Now I have a surprise for you little one.  I know you love to have me as your daddy, and you like to chat with your friends online, but daddy has found something fun for both of us.  We are going to an ABDL convention.  A whole weekend of you being little and being with other littles and having fun.” Max said

I really did not know what to say, I had only heard about these events but never had the funds, or time to go to them. Even when I had the funds, it just seemed that I was either too late to get a ticket, like the first year.  This year I didn’t know what our schedule would be, would we be in the area in time.  Plus I thought that an ABDL convention might be too overboard for Max, as the tickets were going on sale when we were early in our relationship.

“I thought they sold out?” I said surprised that he was able to get tickets

“Well Daddy got tickets about 6 months ago, remember when you had asked me what our plans were for the future? Yeah I already had the tickets by then.  I figured if we broke up, I’d still give you your ticket.” He said

“When were you going to tell me?  This is 3 weeks from now daddy” I said

“I had been trying to tell you for a couple months, but somebody decided to run around to every campground in the state for the summer!!” He said as he grabbed me for a hug, tickle and tussled my hair.  “So you need to make sure you have the outfits and diapers that you want.  I’ll send you the schedule tomorrow morning, because it will be somebody’s bedtime when we get home” He said as he hugged me again.

“Aww daddy it’ll only be 10:30 can’t I stay up longer?” I begged

“Nope, or else you get an even earlier bedtime tomorrow night” he said as he playfully smacked my butt.  I decided not to push it.

The second Wednesday in November, daddy and I hit the road to the east coast for the ABDL convention.  I was so giddy to meet others just like me in person that I barely slept that night before. Daddy took the first shift driving, and I was soon asleep in the passengers seat.  I was only awoken to the RV stopping and Max hopping up and waking me up.

“Hey buddy, did you have a nice rest,  we’re just stopping for gas, and daddy is going to run in and go to the potty.  Did you need a change or need to make poopies?” He said.

“I could probably sit on the potty for a bit, and I’m hungry” I said

“Well why don’t you sit on the potty and I’ll fill up the RV and then we will park and go inside and fill your belly” He said

After fueling up, and eating we were back on the road and I was driving now.  We had arrived about 4:30 pm after leaving at like 5:00 am that morning.  Max had us stop again before we got there to fill up on fuel and propane just for good measure.

We found a space behind the hotel where we were told we could park the RV.  It was the winter time so we did not need a 50amp connection to run the air conditioners, just to keep the fridge running and the furnace blower and lights on, which we could do with a 15 amp plug in and our on-board batteries and generator.  Both of us got registered and then we headed off to the pre-event dinner in the Fiat.

We sat with a few people and told them about ourselves, and to my surprise several of them had seen my YouTube, even though my uploads had significantly fell off the last few months.  We had invited a couple of people back to the RV after dinner to hang out.

The convention started the next day at noon and the next 3 days were a whirlwind of activities, classes, parties and more. Daddy had fun too, he hung out with other Mommies and Daddies too. I swam in the hotel pool.

Our fridge and bulletin board in the RV were now adorned with the artworks I made at the convention, and every night was a late night with us sitting up talking at either the fire pit at the hotel or in our RV with our new found friends.

Sunday was a sad day as it all ended, but I made many new friends there, and hoped to see them again on our travels.  About two hours into the trip home the con drop hit me, I don’t know why but I started just crying.  I was so happy to have the time, but so sad it ended.  I thanked Max for going with me and getting the tickets too.

We decided to take the ‘less travelled’ route home, I was driving and still in a bit of a funk when Max punched in an address in the GPS and told me to follow it.  We turned and twisted through a little town before stopping at a fast food restaurant in the middle of nowhere.  It had a big cow on the sign.

I had not noticed where we were, as I was too busy making sure the RV and car were clearing all the turns.

“Ok hopefully this will cheer you up some.  Let’s go get you some ice cream before they close for the night.” He said, to which I bolted from the RV and into the shop.  I got the biggest sundae they had called the Cattle Trough, 3 scoops of ice cream, warm cookie and a warm brownie.  Max got a double scoop of ice cream and we headed back to the RV.

Max had the high chair setup, the tray on the counter along with a bib for the inevitable mess.  He made me put my sundae on the counter while he got the tray on the chair and the bib on me, then he let me have my ice cream while he put on the TV on Nick Kids.  I had ice cream all over my face, hands, the tray, the bib, etc.  When I was finished Max grabbed a handi wipe and cleaned my hands and face off then proceeded to clean the high chair with a Clorox wipe before taking the bib off and letting me down.

We ended up staying there in the parking lot overnight and left the next morning with 4 pints of ice cream that we bought the next morning.  Max said he found a new website called Farm Fans where you are able to stay in parking lots of farms and wineries and such as long as you support the business and are gone the next morning.

We made it home that afternoon and started laundry. We had about 4 loads.

Ch. 24 – Time for some upgrades

When I bought the RV it was big enough for me, but now I got ‘family’ and it is a little small, also we want to be more self-contained when on the road.  I got upgrade fever.

Since I have had almost a year and a half on the road with this RV I know what I like and what I don’t.  I also know that I have the funds to get what I want, so it was time to start making a list.  On my wish list was a bigger fridge, washer/dryer, bigger bedroom and more sleeping than the sofa and dinette (I just hate having to convert something each night for a guest).

We got the laundry done and daddy said that we can go talk to the RV people and see what they have, but no buying today.  I agreed that we were just looking.

We went to the same place that I bought the current one at, I figured I would let them have first crack at us.

“So what is it I can help you and your son with today?” The salesman said.  To which I pulled out my list of stuff I wanted.

“We’re looking for an RV no more that 32 feet with the following; larger than normal fridge, two beds in the back, bunk house or bunk over cab elsewhere, washer and dryer…. ” as I read off the list.  Only to be dismissed as he turned to Max and made a comment about I got a nice wish list there.

“In the end he’s the one you are selling to, not me” Max said, but I don’t think the guy really caught on.

We saw a few like 10 different ones, talked about all the customization I wanted, like graphic colors, interior trim, rear bedroom configurations, and more.  I got prices and we left to hit up another place and re-do it all over again.  We sat down that night and discussed what we liked and disliked about each model, sales guy and pricing and time-frame.

We ended up going back to the first place, but I insisted that somebody else make this sale.  I was just a little burnt that Max had clearly said that I would be the purchaser and the guy continued to ignore me.

We ended up working with the sales manager, placed an order for a new class A 32 foot RV.  I wanted to keep the length as short as possible as some of the places we camped only allow 30 foot plus the car, and sometimes we have to leave the car elsewhere.  It had a little bit bigger fridge, the largest we could get that runs on 3-way power. Bunk over the cab, and 2 bottom beds in the back, double slides in the bedroom, kitchen slide too and and the dinette was a u-shaped one that was not hard to convert if we had to.  We had the space over the cab, that lowered down, which worked for us.  Best all, the washer and dryer.  It was a small stacked unit, but it did not need to be that big, as we could still do the laundromat for large things like the bed sheets or large loads.

It was going to take 3 months to get it and then another week to prep it the way we wanted it. Like building the custom crib on the other bed, hey when you have the money, people will do custom work.

This means one last big adventure in the old RV.  We had driven through West Virginia before but never stopped.  So this time we had some great plans.  We were going to go to Beckley WV and do a coal mine tour, then we wanted to hit some of the state parks, Babcock state park, and black water falls.  Before heading up to Somerset PA to see the Flight 93 memorial, then up into the Allegheny national Forrest for a few days of relaxing.  Before heading up to buffalo NY and then Niagara Falls and into Canada.

Now that it was planned out, we had about a week before leaving.  Time enough to stock up on supplies, and make sure all our plans were going to work out with crossing the border as well.

We stretched that trip out to take about 5 weeks, our first stop was in Hocking Hills State park for two nights, then onto Beckley WV.  The Coal mine experience was fun, as was the museum as well.  We stayed in that area for two nights before moving onto Babcock state park.  We hiked the trails there for about 3 days, getting photos of the mill from all angles, before moving down the road to Blackwater Falls where we hung out for about a week.  The area was totally awesome looking, but was getting busy as we were now mid June.  We did not stay but an afternoon at the flight 93 memorial before finding a nearby camp to stop for the night.

The next morning we packed up and we drove further east to Gettysburg, PA, which is where max wanted to go.  He is more of a history buff than I, but I must admit I did enjoy it, we did a bus tour one day, hit the museums the next day and on the final day went to the Eisenhower estate before just chilling for day 4 and 5.  I took those days to assemble the videos, photos and blog posts, and scheduled them all out. For the next 3 weeks.  These days the posts are becoming more delayed than they used to be, and not as often as before when I was posting 3 times a week.

Leaving out on the 6th morning we were headed towards Bar Harbor Maine.  It took us about 3 days of driving at the pace we do of 200-250 miles a day, any more and it just is too taxing.  Of course we avoid the tolls like the plague, as it adds up in a RV with a tow vehicle.

Maine was nice, we hit the bars and seafood houses and relaxed for a few days. We were going to head to Canada and drive back but it was too much of a hassle with us both having our handguns in the vehicle.  We did end up go into to Niagara Falls.  We simply secured our guns in the RV and drove the Fiat over the border and back.

We will have to get the paperwork in order before we attempt to go to Canada or through there in the future.

After traveling for what amounted to an entire year and 2 months, I was tired. When we left Niagara Falls after 5 days I was ready to be home.  We kind of made it a point to push ourselves to getting as many miles in as we could, doing the 3 on 3 off, eat/sleep then repeat, and we made it home in 2 days.

For the next two weeks we both just chilled out, cleaned the old RV out, took the crib rails down and turned it into a normal bed, cleaned out the fridge, defrosted the freezer, sanitized the tanks.

Max and I had not really decided on what to do with the old RV as we had another one on the way.  The new one had all the solar, batteries, TV’s and such brand new in it, so I did not need to pull any of that out of there.  The old RV was paid for, as was the new one.

I got a phone call on Saturday from the RV dealer saying that the new RV was ready for pickup.  I said that we would be up on Monday.

We spent that Saturday night at my parents for dinner and conversation.

“So what are you going to do with your other RV?” My dad asked

“I am not really sure yet.  It is paid off, and I did not trade it in.  I am thinking about parking it at a nice campground for the summer and have it set up so we can just go out there and not have to drive the new coach out there.” I said

“Your mom and I have always thought about doing the whole RV thing, that’s just a dream” Dad said

“You know we could always work something out.  Maybe we will just put the old one in storage for the winter and re-visit it in the spring, maybe you could take it out for a vacation.  It runs well, has great tires and you know I keep it well maintained”  I said

“Yeah your dad can sleep in the crib” My mom quipped in.

“We took the crib down, it has 2 twin XL beds at the moment.  My bed can be moved and connected to Jason’s to make a split king sized bed.” Max said

Sunday we went up to a campground and took a look at a spot they had, but really weren’t impressed, so we kept looking.  We went to about 5 different campgrounds that day. Finally we had to settle on some place.  We really weren’t happy with what we got, but we needed 2 spaces next to each other for the next 2 and a half months.

Monday morning I had a 10 AM appointment at the RV dealer.  We pulled up on the lot in the fiat and I knew which one was our new RV.  I had ordered a custom paint scheme of bright red, blue and green.  The representative showed us the features the new RV had, we grabbed the keys, took a quick test drive, tested out the features and were then on the road after having hooked the fiat up to the back of the new RV. I had ordered the same exact car connection system for the new RV just so it would not matter what RV we pulled it with.  This meant I got another set of connectors for another vehicle should somebody else need to connect to the back of one of the RVs.

We now needed to stock the new RV.  I had found a a new diaper pail for the new RV, well it was new to me.  I figured that since we planned to keep the old RV, we needed to keep it stocked somewhat.  I had taken an inventory of what all was in the old RV’s kitchen cabinets, pots, pans, seasonings, utensils, plates and glasses.  I mostly just re-ordered everything I had purchased to furnish the other RV.

In the diaper department, I already had them packed up in crates, so I just had to load them into the under coach garage and into the bedroom. Soon we had the new RV loaded up and ready to hit the road, but we had other things to attend to first.

At the campground, I paid for the rest of the season for both of the RV’s even though the new one was often not there.  We left the old one there and would have my parents, and Max’s use it that year.

We had Riley, David  and Josh and Michael up a couple days too.  Since the whole blow up at Christmas time last year, when Riley was being punished with having to wear diapers, he had been seeing a therapist for his anger management and was handling his frustrations a lot better now.  What surprised me was the first night that he stayed with us, he got dressed in the back bedroom and came out with a diaper under his shorts.

“Hey buddy, are you still being punished with having to wear a diaper?” I asked being concerned that this diaper punishment had been going on this long still, and it was time for it to stop.

“No, I just sometimes have issues at night, and I don’t want to damage your beds.” He said sheepishly

“When did you start having bedwetting issues?  You weren’t wetting at night before.” I asked

“It started once I started seeing my therapist and sleeping better. My doctor also changed my meds too” He said.  Riley had epilepsy as well, but it was well controlled with medication.

“Well thank you for being considerate, and I did not mean to embarrass you.  You can either sleep on the sofa bed, or sleep above the cab in the bunk there.” I said, thankful that this RV has the extra space to allow us to use the over cab bunk for sleeping and not storage.

When he stayed with us, he was perfectly behaved, and took care of his diapers all on his own.  I only knew he was wearing them because when I took the trash out I saw his plain white diapers mixed with my printed ones that I used from time to time.

The second weekend that we were there, we got a letter that our behavior was lewd and would not be tolerated.  We marched up to the office and spoke to the manager.

“Your friend here needs to dress properly.  Another camper claimed he was outside in just a diaper, and he acts like a damn freak toddler.” The manager said getting loud.

Before I could even respond, Max jumped in. “For starters he NEVER leaves our RV in ‘just a diaper’.  He always has his lower half covered; usually with shorts, but at night he may have went out in just a onsie, still covers his diaper, which unless you were spying on us, you would not be able to notice.  This is why we picked the 2 spots we did so we would have privacy.  Furthermore he is the toddler who never wanted to grow up, and is not hurting anybody.  He also is playing out behind the RV’s out of most people’s sight.” Max continued

“I have never once lied about who I am.  I am paying just as much as the people who have music and drunken parties going at their campsite until 2 am; which we don’t complain about.  We don’t leave a mess with beer cans strewn about, have our kids and guests making a mess in the public areas either.

We will not be back next year, and I sure as hell won’t be recommending this place to anybody else after this treatment.  Nobody seems to be having an issue with us except YOU!  The other people close by actually like that we are quiet compared to the other part of the park.” I laid into him, which I think surprised him, as I am usually very docile when Max is around.

We ended up agreeing to disagree and while walking back to the RV Max said that we might have to dial it back a notch to not loose our spot for the rest of the summer.

That fall we ended up hitting almost every state park campground, where we could be there for a day or two and then moving along to the next spot.  We spent a week along the Lake Erie coast, hit up Cedar Point, the Zoos in Toledo, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Columbus; along with every other animal park we could find. David and Riley enjoyed Cedar Point and the Toledo Zoo too.

That place worked for that year, but we would need a new place, one without the heavy handed rules.

Ch. 23 – Home Sweet Home – when we are there.

On the Friday before Memorial day, we headed towards Indiana, where we stopped for the night, before heading further towards home.  We made a stop in Max’s hometown to see his parents and siblings, and then headed back to my house. I stopped in the road, let the car off, then backed the RV into the driveway, unlocked the garage, and got the RV docked and then into the house to stay for a few weeks.

We spent the next week relaxing, getting the paperwork done on the purchase of the house, and talking over our next adventure, but more importantly where ‘we’ were going.

Our relationship was unique.  I knew he was not attracted to men, I was.  It’s not like I would turn him down, but the spark was not really there between us.  Really my only drive was being little and cared for.  I just felt like I was holding him back, I mean you live with and take care of a overgrown toddler, what is in it for him?  Was I falling in love with somebody who would never be in love with me?  Was he just in it for the money, after all I pay for everything, including the agreed upon student loans for him. Changing a few diapers and babysitting a toddler isn’t such hard work.

“So can you believe it has been 9 months that we have been together running around this country and globe?” I said. “What do you want to do next, we’ve seen the Grand Canyon, Gulf of Mexico, most of Route 66, the Florida keys?”

“I dunno, let me think for a few days.  How about we go to that Italian place in Columbus Saturday night?” He said

“Sure thing” I said, wondering why he would pick out of the blue a fancy restaurant.  Was he up to something?  I tried to get into the question of ‘where are we going in this whole relationship thing?’  I really wanted to know.  Should I let him go, it’s not like he sees me as a lover, he is more of my caregiver, and I know that in good relationships that each party must satisfy the needs of the other. I just wanted to be sure that he knew that I would understand if he wanted to see somebody else or even not be my daddy anymore.

A couple times that week he had taken off in the car saying that he had to go run some errands or do something, or being pre-occupied with his phone.

I had asked if there was something wrong, or something he wanted to talk about, since he had been kind of distant and secretive this week.  He just said there was nothing wrong.  I was beginning to get a little upset.

So when we drove to the restaurant I figured that we would be breaking up or something. As every other relationship I was in they asked to go out to eat to break up so it would not be a scene.

We got there and sat down and Max handed me a fancy looking bib, that is what it was.  We had dinner and made small talk.

“So have you had a chance to think about what the next adventure is going to be?” I asked

“Honestly, anywhere with you is where I want to go.  That is, if you will have me?” He said

“Sure I will have you, I love having you travel with me.  I just worry that you’re getting nothing out of this relationship.  What’s in it for you?  I know you aren’t attracted to men.”

“I don’t feel attracted to other men, just you.  From the moment I met you on the cruise I was in love, I love that you live so freely, you see the world through the eyes of a child and are who you are.  I cannot imagine being together with anybody else either.  These last 9 months have been the best time I have ever had with anybody.” He said.

That night as Max got me out of my diaper but before re-diapering me, he kissed me on the lips, something he had not done before, usually just on the forehead.  He had me diapered back up and we went to the living room and sat on the sofa, me drinking a warm bottle of milk as he stroked my head.

“So at the restaurant, I asked you what was in it for you in this relationship; tell me?” I asked

“I get the joys of being your daddy and making you happy.  I have never had this much joy with any of my old partners.  Seeing you happy, makes me happy.  I hope I make you happy too” He said

“You do make me very happy to have somebody take care of me, and I am happy that I make you happy too” I said, which I really meant too.

That night I laid in my crib as the stars on the ceiling swirled around and drifted off the sleep.  The next morning I awoke to the smell of bacon and other breakfast stuff.  Now, like a good baby, I stayed in my crib until daddy came in to get me up, even though I could have very well lowered the side rail and climbed out on my own.

“Did daddy’s little boy sleep good last night?” Max said as he popped his head in around the door.

“Um hmm” I said around the pacifier that found it’s way into my mouth.

“Well let’s get your pants changed and get you fed then” He said as he walked in and lowered the crib rail and I crawled out and onto the changing table.

Next I waddled out to the kitchen in just my onsie and diaper and went to sit at the table before being re-directed to the high chair “Little ones eat in the high chair”, he said as I climbed into the high chair and awaited the tray to be snapped onto the arms of the chair.

He had fixed French toast, which he cut into little bites and bacon.  I proceeded to dig in with just my fingers before he could grab a fork for me to use.  I ended up getting syrup all on my hands, face, on the bib, and even in my hair.

“Well you made a mess, time for a bath for you.  How did you get syrup in your hair?” He said.

“I dunno daddy” I said, somewhat trying to get down out of the high chair, but finding that max would not let me touch him.

I had recently switched to cloth diapers when we were in the house, so I did not waste a diaper per-say, it was still dry.  Max got me undressed and bathed me in the tub before leaving me to play in the bathtub with my toys.  I assumed that he was cleaning up the mess on the high chair.

He returned about 15 minutes later with a big fluffy towel and set it on the vanity before he reached in and pulled the plug in the bathtub.  He then motioned for me to stand up as he started to dry me from top to bottom, finally wrapping me in the towel before directing me to the bedroom.  I climbed onto the changing table and the awaiting cloth diaper.

Once changed into an outfit I helped daddy gather the laundry and we carried it downstairs and started the laundry.

While we waited for the laundry to wash we got to talking about our next adventures.

Ch. 22 – Adult decisions, Little time

We took a day or two to get caught up on, as I call it, business stuff.  I had to review bills, even if they were already paid, looking at my investments, checking the news and such.  We had an important decision to think about, well one of many.

“So what are we going to do about the house?” Max asked

“I don’t know, I mean it should be simple, I’ve lived there for 5 years now?” I said.

Last week my landlord called to tell me that he was needing to sell the land the house sat on after his wife fell ill.  I had asked if he could give me a week to see if I ‘could gather the money to put in an offer’

“Ya, know, I have thought of the place as my house for years, so it was a given.  What he wants is a fair price, and really, I don’t need a big fancy house to be happy, I am happy with what we have.”

“Well then, call the attorney and have him put in the offer” Max said

I had asked my landlord to not list with a real estate agent until I got back to him.  I had called the attorney earlier in the week, and had the place appraised awhile back, as I was planning on offering to buy it last winter, but didn’t.  So I knew the offer was sound and was not underselling or really over the top.

I grabbed my phone and dialed my landlord, “Hey Earl, Jason here…. I thought it through and I would like to make you an offer for the house.  Don’t list it, let’s just do a for sale by owner so you aren’t getting hit with realtor fees.  Your price was well within line, I’ll pay the closing and the taxes too, just to help you out.”

“That is very generous of you, thank you, this will help greatly” He said

“Well I will have my lawyer draw up the contract and send it over to you.  I will be back in town next week, and we can sit down and go over it all” I said

“Well that’s done.” I said looking at Max  “Big boy decisions”

I reviewed all the bills and stuff, emailed the attorney to tell him they all were good and to start the process for buying the property along with covering the other costs.  So now after all the big boy work is done, Max changed my night diaper and dressed me into a cute outfit and told me it was time to go play.  He ushered me out the door, opened the ‘garage’ and got the playpen out and the rug that goes under it and I helped him set it up.  I then climbed in while daddy brought some toys over for me to play with.

I ran the cars and trucks around the carpet for probably 2 hours, playing with the dinosaurs, lost in my own little world. Oblivious to the other people at the RV park who by now were getting up and around and noticed the overgrown toddler sitting in the playpen.

It’s not like I was unsupervised, Max could see me from the dinette and kept popping out seeing how I was doing.  “How’s it going buddy” He asked. To which I responded that I was fine.

I played with my toys to myself for what seemed like all morning until it was time for lunch.  Max had made hotdogs, and macaroni and cheese and brought out the high chair and tray.  “Ok, lunch time buddy” He said as he set the high chair up.

“I figured let’s give the neighbors a little peek into our life.” He said as he helped me into the high chair and snapped the tray on it and put my plate of food on it.  Boy did we get some looks

“Well don’t you look cute” One lady said as she and her husband walked by.

Another older couple were not so nice. “You know that’s what you have an inside of your camper for, nobody wants to see that” The husband said as they walked by.

“Why, you do your drinking and hollering outside” Max said

By now I was embarrassed and just wanted to get out and run inside, I was at the point of crying, and was totally out of my little space.  Max looked at me and took control.

“Hey, you are ok, nothing is going to happen, and you aren’t hurting anybody here.  If you want to go inside you can but it is such a nice day, and you should be able to enjoy the outside too.” He said, which settled me down some, but it was hard to get back into little mode.

After lunch he brought out some cheesecake that we had in the freezer and let it thaw a bit. I finished it in my high chair and then Max cleaned my hands and face and I got back into the playpen for a bit before dozing off. That day was so much fun.

We hit a few more Route 66 things that weren’t open the last time we were through, relaxed and unwound. We found an RV resort with an indoor pool. We slept in late, relaxed at the pool while the spring sun beat down on us and took it easy at night just enjoying the campfire.

Ch. 21 – A familiar face and new revelations

We headed through the Texas Panhandle, but not before stopping off to meet Georgie who fixed my RV my first time out on.  The RV was in need of an oil change and a check of the tires and stuff, this just was the perfect time to do it.  I had called ahead of time by a few days, so they were expecting us in the afternoon after lunch.

“Baby man!” Rodney exclaimed when I pulled into their lot.  George and Rodney got the RV all looked over, the oil changed and tires inspected.  There was a few things they fixed up.

I was able to park the RV next to the shop and plug it in for the night. Then we met George for dinner at his place.

We talked about our travels, Max and I’s relationship and stuff in the community.  Eventually we got to the topic about George and coming out to his parents.

“So how did the whole topic of diapers come up that made you come out to your dad?” I asked George

“Well one night he saw this commercial for some show that was having somebody on who liked to wear diapers and be a baby and he said something about it and then you being a big baby man and asked me what I thought about it.  I reminded him that you had paid a lot of money for tires, oil change and other work on your RV without blinking about the cost, and we should not judge others when we don’t know them.”

“True” Max chimed in

“He said something about me wearing diaper for pissing the bed,  and was surprised I never turned into one.  To which I said, what makes you think I didn’t?  He brought up the time in middle school he caught me in one, which I said ‘oh that’s the only time you caught me, that’s not the only time it happened.’ Eventually he put two and two together to figure out that was the reason I moved out when I was out of school, still single, have a bedroom in my house that I keep locked.” George said

“So did you come out and tell him, or did he ask if your still wore them?” I asked

“Kind of both, he asked me if I wore them often when I was still at home, and I said not as much as I do since being on my own.  Then he wanted to know if I still do and if I was into the baby stuff too, which I said both.” George said.  “Oh and he was quite unhappy about it too.  I pretty much took off that night and did not come into work the rest of the week.”

“Wow!” I said

“Honestly I was considering not going back, but my mom talked me into it.  He don’t say too much, but then again I try not to wear diapers at work either.  We kind of agree to disagree on it” George said

We spent about 3 hours there talking back and forth, George has a nice nursery setup and a large wood shop behind his house where he works on other projects.  He may even start working on making cribs for other people, but wasn’t sure if he wanted to put that much time into it.

We headed back to the RV that we had left at the garage and the next morning bid George and his parents farewell before heading out after breakfast.

We stopped off in McLean Tx, then Shamrock TX at the U Drop Inn and Tower Conoco station.  Then we headed into Oklahoma, stopping at the Oklahoma Route 66 museum, then we drove a bit more before stopping near Arcadia OK.  We saw the Round barn right before it closed for the day, and then went and found a place to stop for the night.  After getting the RV level and such we took off in the car to go to Pop’s to see the giant soda bottle lit up at night.  We left with way too many sugary drinks than neither of us needed, but we’d eventually drink them.  We packed them in a way so the bottles would not clank together and break.

I slept so good that night all snuggled up in my crib.  I had gotten to the point of using a star projection light at night to go to sleep with, Max is one of those people who is out as soon as his head hits the pillow, I am not.

I am lying awake wondering what my next stops will be, when Max will get tired of being daddy and leave me, will I decide to settle down and stop traveling, if being 24/7 is something that I will do for the rest of my life, or what.  Every night it was pretty much the same thoughts as I hugged my teddy bear and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, we woke up, daddy changed me and we decided to skip making our own breakfast and the inevitable wait for things to cool off and be cleaned up.  We both grabbed a cup of coffee and headed further east to Stroud OK.

We found a place to park and entered the Rock Café for some great home cooked breakfast before heading down the road.

We weaved and wound down the roads, stopped at cool places like The Blue Whale, a totem pole park, motorcycle museum, many murals too.

We puttered through Oklahoma, into Kansas and onto Missouri.  We made so many stops. Including a night at a drive-in movie, the all too quirky Uranus MO, St. Louis arch before heading north into Illinois.

We spent about 4 more days covering the parts of Route 66 in Illinois.  Old restored gas stations, drive-ins, diners, restaurants and museums.

There is no way in hell I am taking a 30 foot RV and tow vehicle into downtown Chicago, we parked about 10 miles away and took the Fiat into the city, took the obligatory end of the route/start of the route photo.  We saw the sights of Chicago at the 360 degree view of the  John Hancock Tower, and went to Navy Pier.  We didn’t stay too long since the cat was in the RV still.

It was cold so after we got things done in Chicago, we headed back south a bit to something warmer near Pontiac, IL.

Ch. 20 – From the Gulf into the Wild West and back.

We worked our way up the coast, into Alabama, where we stopped for a few days on the gulf shores.  Max got some fishing in, I took a helicopter ride.  We both spent time at the beach working on our tans.  We ate some great food, which brings us to needing to work out.

Since starting this journey I have put on some weight, which I realized that I needed to get into better shape.  I got into running about a 2 miles each day, in addition to cardio.  We both decided that we needed to hit the gym, and got memberships at a nationwide chain.  I actually dropped the extra pounds quickly, and dropped some more too.

We are trying to get off the fast food, and sweets or so daddy says… right after he eats a honey bun.  I have a decent sized refrigerator in the RV, enough so we can get fresh meats, fruits and veggies.  So typically when we pull into a town we try to find a farmers market or produce stand.  We switched the cookies, cake and ice cream out to bowls of French fruit, with an occasional sorbet.  Fruit smoothies are part of breakfast.

We explored some museums in costal Mississippi.  There was a museum that had miniatures, small paintings and scenes, a children’s museum, a maritime and seafood industry museum and finally a visit to the Hattiesburg Zoo.  All in all we were out exploring 3 days with 2 days to edit videos.

We actually got pretty good at shooting video and daddy found that he had a great voice for narrating and voiceover work.  This helps fund the travel, keep the gas tanks filled and feed the kitty.  We would do our traditional vlog, but also shoot some b-roll and interviews.  Neither of us would be in front of the camera.

We moved on to the experience that is New Orleans.  We broke from our healthy eating when we went to get Beignets, I mean you just must try them.  Plenty of gumbo and other creole dishes too.  Max made me promise that I would not repeat the last trip to bourbon street and getting drunk.

We did stay at the same campground that I had when mom and dad came down.

We stayed in Louisiana for about 9 days before continuing through Texas seeing quirky things and vlogging about them.

We settled into a schedule of 3 days of shooting, 2 days of sitting, scouting and editing.  We would then relax those nights, and drive for a bit the next day.

After about 6 weeks of putt putting towards Arizona, we made it there.  By then it was the first week in March.  We rolled into Ehrenberg AZ, emptied our tanks, filled up the water, propane, and about every water container we had as well. We needed all the water storage we could get.

We facetimed Max’s family and wished the twins a happy 12th birthday, saw all the things they got too. Gift cards for xbox live, itunes gift cards, more diapers for David, clothes for both.  Not much other than that.  We had sent some souvenirs from the road to them.

We then found a place outside of town at a BLM (bureau of land management) dispersed camping area and set up camp.

The first couple nights there was nobody around us, and I loved it.  I would run around in just a onsie and diaper and sandals.  Eventually more and more of the area filled in, but it wasn’t that full.  Yet one morning I woke up and stepped outside in just a onsie and diaper and there were people camped about 30 feet away; like you could pick anywhere but you chose to be right up our ass.

I paid them no mind as I sat outside and sipped my coffee and watched the sun come up.  Nobody told them to camp so close to us.  They did not stay in that place long.  Max told me that my fun was over since there were becoming more people, and I had to put pants on. I pouted but lost out.

The next people who camped close, were parked the opposite direction and left us alone.  About every 3 days we would drive into town to see what was going on, maybe get some groceries, etc.  Once about every 8-10 days we’d take the RV in to town, dump the tanks, fill the water, empty the trash and do laundry.  Often we would take a fellow camper in with us just to be nice.  We got to know a few people that were camped nearby, and found that for some, living like a nomad was their only choice.

Many of them were in fact homeless, and they were often able to scrape just enough gas to make it to the BLM land, and be able to move every 14 days as required when they had to.  Many were on various public assistance as well.  Some like me had the ability to do what they loved, but many just wanted to be out on the open road going where the wind blew them.  We never once ever let on that we had the means to be able to do this without a care to the cost.  I can be quite the tightwad sometimes.

By the end of March, we started getting tired of the scenery, so to say.  One night in early April, the 3rd I think, Max said “Tomorrow we need to move on down the road, it’s getting too crowded here, and it is consistently getting warmer and warmer, and we’re getting to the point of needing the AC and we cannot run the Generator and the solar isn’t going to provide enough power.

The next morning on April 4th we got up early, watched the sun come up, shot our last time lapse sunrise there, packed up what we had out at camp, battened down the hatches and pulled the RV onto the main pathway, coupled up the car and headed out.  We topped off and emptied out the tanks respectfully and headed back east towards quartzite, then up to lake havasu, before hitting I-40 and then we travelled into Oatman, and visited the burros.

Max had never been to the Grand Canyon so we had to visit there for him.  We camped at a KOA outside Williams AZ, then took the Fiat into the Grand Canyon Village and toured the whole day, we took many photos and bought tons of souvenirs as well. I am sure that many people thought I was special needs as Max was constantly directing me around and holding my hand and speaking to me in his daddy voice.  I am sure my light up sneakers, bright colorful shorts and diaper bulge did not give it away.

The next day we walked around Williams AZ, in and out of the various shops.  This was also a great place to get a nice steak dinner, and do laundry.

We basically chilled for another 2 days and then headed  east along Historic Route 66 heading towards flagstaff, short trip to Sedona and Horseshoe bend for photography, where we spent most of the day.  Boondocked that night and then went to Meteor Crater.

We stopped off in Winslow AZ to just stand on the corner, it was such a fine sight to see.  Saw the Wigwam Motel in Holbrook  AZ.  We checked into a KOA, then took the Fiat and did some vlogging from the petrified forest to the east of Holbrook and back to the RV for the night.

Got up the next day and kept heading east into New Mexico.  There really wasn’t much to see there, Albuquerque was way too congested to get the RV into. So we parked about 10 miles out of where we wanted to be at a truck stop and headed to the Route 66 diner for lunch and then back as quick as we could before the kitty got too hot.  We drove another 3 hours to Tucumcari, NM and then stopped for 2 days.

Again in Tucumcari we had to go to the Dino museum, walked around and looked at the murals, vlogged, and visited the Route 66 museum for New Mexico.  Oh, and who could forget getting some great Mexican food at Del’s, and LaCita and one morning we went to Kix on 66.

We stopped at the Cadillac Ranch, spray painted a car. Saw some other sights like the leaning water tower and a giant cross along the freeway, pointed out where I got stranded on my first time out.

Ch. 19 – Welcome to 2017

The next week we were going to head to Max’s Parents and then into big city to do some shopping.

Riley was finally off punishment and not in diapers any longer, but I could see David was still wearing diapers, and he had to just show me his new bed.  It had the rails around it like mine in the RV, but they were removable for when he decided he did not want them.

Maria said they were finally unpacked and she has a mountain of laundry to do now before the kids go back to school. She made it clear to David that he would NOT be allowed to be diapered at school, only at home, so he better get used to using the toilet this weekend.

Max and I got ready to leave and head into the big city to the mall and surprise his mom and younger siblings were going too.

“Hey David, you want to ride with us?” Max said, to which he was ecstatic to do so.

“Grab your diaper bag and you can go with them.  Parking at the food court OK?” Maria said

“Yep” Max replied.

“Where’d this car come from?” David said, expecting the bright yellow Fiat, which was left in Florida.

“This is my old car that I keep at my house, for when I am not on the road.  When I first started out I had a motorcycle/scooter, and I bought the Fiat on the road.” I said

“So how is it having your own room?” Max asked

“So it has been awesome having my own room and a crib.  I tried my cloth diapers last night and they are so thick, which is ok at home, but I like the throw away ones when we are out” He said

“That’s great buddy” I said “I like my cloth ones too, but I just can’t do them on the road because it may be a week or so before I do laundry at a laundromat.

“Oh Yeah I guess that would be hard then” He said

We went to the mall, which had a Disney store and of course I had to get more stuffies that I don’t need, or so daddy says, but what does he know.  Then we stopped at the medical supply store that has ABDL stuff.  I got a new onsie, changing mat for myself, and some more variety of diapers that I wanted to try.

We then went to dinner at a place called The Back 40 Junction.  It had a seafood buffet in addition to a traditional buffet.  After dinner, we bid everybody goodbye and Max and I headed back home.  I had taken the time to plan some orders to be shipped to our favorite FedEx store near Orlando so that they would arrive not too long after we were set to return.

We spent the next 2 days working out our plans for the next couple of months.   Plane tickets were booked for the return to Florida. The plan was to hang for up to a week in Florida go up the Gulf coast of Florida, and along the gulf into Texas. Then make it out west to Arizona and do some boondocking near quartzite for a few weeks or so before moving to another region.

We packed up the night before, and in the morning shut everything off and turned back the heat.  The plan was not to be back this way till around spring break time in April, so we made sure we had warm clothes and clothes for the warm weather too.  I was sure gonna miss my crib and high chair.  The portable high chair was shipped down earlier that week.

Normally I would have had ordered a car to take us to the airport, but my folks said they could do it.  They picked us up and drove us to the airport and away we go.   Two hours later we touch down in Orlando, get an Uber to the RV park, get our stuff in the RV, cool it down, go to FedEx and get the packages that we had shipped in; it took two trips to get everything.  Then we went and got Zorro who clearly showed his disdain for being left at the boarder for almost 2 weeks.  We got back to the RV and he ran in and plopped on the sofa, hissing every now and then when we walked by.

We spent the afternoon and into the evening unpacking, rearranging, fixing little things, flushing and filling up stuff. We gassed up the Fiat, and the RV and the next morning hit the open road.  We headed towards Tampa that first day, did some filming for the vlog, introduced Max on camera.

He had been behind the scenes for some time, he was heard but not seen.  Which he wanted to do until he had become more comfortable about being in a public video.

While in the Tampa area we experienced some of the local flavor.  We went to Ybor City and had some Cuban food at Carmine’s.  I liked the Deviled crabs, crap we ordered like 4 of them.  Then I got the Cuban roast pork, Max got Bistec De Palomilla, which is pan seared steak with onions.  Max ordered a cocktail and I tried it, still not big into alcohol.  I just got Root Beer.  After dinner Daddy stopped into a cigar store and smoked the stinky thing as we walked around until late that night.

The next day we went to Tarpon Springs and indulged in Greek food at several places, hit the Greek bakery. I ended up getting Gyro and fries, Daddy got some K-bobs and dessert put us in a sugar coma.

We went to a beach and just sat there and watched the sun set.

“It never gets old, you can watch a sunset a hundred times and it’s still like the first time.  It is even better when you have somebody to share it with”, I said

“You know there’s no place I’d rather be than wherever you are., Daddy loves you so much buddy” He said as he leaned in and kissed my forehead.

I laid my head in his lap and he stroked my hair for what seemed like hours, but it was only maybe 30 minutes until we saw the beach patrol rolling up and we had to leave.

I was all tuckered out by the time we got back to the RV.  Daddy got me in my PJs and off to dreamland for me.  This is everything I ever dreamed of.

I was awoken in the night by Max getting up and using the bathroom and then coming back to bed.  “I’m sorry, did I wake you…. Go back to sleep it is not time to get up now” He said as he climbed back into bed.

What seemed like 5 minutes was hours when daddy woke me up.  “Hey sweetie, I hate to wake you but it’s getting close to check out time, did you want to check out today, or stay” Max said gently waking me up.

“Ok, daddy, I’ll get up.  We can go on the road.”

Ch. 18 – Going home for Christmas

We finished out vacation with Max’s family over the next few days.  Then we helped them pack up, and bid them farewell on their drive back home.  We left Fort Wilderness and found an RV park closer to the airport, but not before dropping the kitty off at the pet resort for 2 weeks, again Kitty not happy.

The next morning I turned off the gas, drained the tanks and plugged in the RV and turned off everything except the fridge.  We got an Uber to the smaller air strip where a small jet was waiting.  My assistant had booked space on a charter jet for the quick 3 hour flight to the frozen tundra.

I must say it was so nice to get a short security line.  We walked straight to the plane, boarded and the door closed.  We had plenty of legroom too.

My parents met us at the airport and took us to my house.  As soon as I walked in I knew somebody had been in there, as things looked re-arranged, my bedroom door was shut, and I never leave the rooms shut so the heat circulates.  A Christmas tree was put up and had gifts under it too.

“Surprise, we did some decorating while you were gone.” My mom said

“Set your luggage down here and let’s get some dinner” My dad said as they ushered us out the door.

We went to the local Bob Evans for dinner and then back to my house.

“Ok, so this one is for you” dad said as he handed me a present, “This one for Max, then your mom.  Now you can open them”.

I got a calendar with some of my photos on it, Max got some grill utensils and stuff, mom got some jewelry.  I got my parents a 7 night cruise with a balcony suite, for their anniversary.

At this point I was getting to be a bit soggy and was about to excuse myself to go get changed. “I gotta get changed here soon” I said

“Ok, just wait for a moment.  Now for your last present” My dad said.  “Go open your room up”

I got up and walked to my bedroom door and flicked on the light and was speechless, I just started crying. “How, when, why”

“I hope it makes you happy for years, I know that you’d have eventually bought one, but the ones you buy are so institutional, plus you need something for you” My dad said

“I decorated too” My mom said

“Did you know about this” I said to Max, to which he nodded

“Merry Christmas baby, I love you” Max said

So now that you read this far, what did I get?

When I flicked the light on I saw a giant wooden stained crib, and a matching changing table, with a giant Winnie the Pooh decal on it, diaper disposal like I have in the RV, and a mural on the wall.  They spent some time on this really.

“I’ve been working on the crib since when we came back from Louisiana, your mom used her Cricut to do the decals on everything as well.” My dad said

“I found a diaper pail like you have in the RV on Facebook market, and ordered the bedding on Amazon” My mom said

“So this is why you turned down the offer to fly down to Florida” I said

“Yeah,  we really wanted to have you see this before you started peeping on the video cameras.  I had the inside ones taken offline, but I knew you would not buy it for too long before you’d send somebody to check them, and Max knew he would not be able to keep you from doing that” My dad said

“Oh you all how crafty of you” I said still surprised how they pulled it all off without me catching on.

“Let’s get you ready for bed and then you can try it out” Max said and I basically jumped up on the changing table to get changed.

Fresh in my jammies, I hopped into the crib as Max closed the side of it up to see how high it goes.

“Perfect height” My dad said

“Yep and the video baby monitor will be great too” Max said

“Ok well let’s leave the baby and go play some cards” My mom said as she turned out the lights, leaving just the swirling stars on the ceiling.

“Ha Ha real funny, now let me out” I said shaking the crib rail, which didn’t budge

They left me, they really left me!  Ok, it was only for about 5 minutes, but I had resigned my fate that I was NOT getting out.  If I could get my leg over the rail, there would be like a 6 foot drop to the floor, and there is not that much room between the top of the rail and the ceiling. I’d probably get stuck.

Right about as I had curled up and faced the fact that I was here, Max came back in and dimmed up the lights and got me out “Aww baby, did you think daddy had left you here”

To which I nodded that yes I had thought that.  We went out and played cards until late in the night and then I did say I wanted to go to bed.  Max walked me to the crib and I climbed in and soon after the rail was up I drifted off to sleep, hugging my teddy bear.  Life was great!

I slept in that next day till about noon when Max came in to check on me.  Without asking he slipped his finger inside my diaper, which really woke me up.

“Let’s get you changed baby.  Did you sleep good?”

“Mmmhmm” I said around my pacifier as I sat up and swing my legs over the side of the crib and hopped down and went straight to the changing table, where Max expertly changed me.

Next onto the kitchen, and I was really not awake yet, I needed my coffee.

“Ok, hop up here” Max said as he pointed to a new chair.  I was too sleepy to realize what it was until he slid the tray in place.

“Where’d this come from?” I said astounded

“Your dad.  He had it out in the truck last night and put it in the garage when they left.  I went and got it in here this morning while you were sleeping.  We have another for the RV and it packs up as a directors chair.  I figure we could store it underneath or behind the sofa if need be.” He said

“I just love this all so much” I said as I started to tear up.

“Now don’t start crying on me” He said.

I texted my dad and said how thankful I was for the stuff, to which he said I was welcome and it was fun making the items, knowing how much they would mean to me.

We spent the day deep cleaning the house, talking about decorating ideas for my nursery here and more.  We relaxed after the housework and decided to get cleaned up and head into town for some dinner, while we both can cook, it is nice to not have to all the time.  We just hit the local sports bar and got some wings, played some tunes on the jukebox and saw some old friends.

We said ‘Hi, what you been up to, not seen you around, etc’. A few were surprised at my YouTube content, wondering if it was all real; to which Max and I affirmed that it is real, I am a 25 year old toddler and he is my Daddy.

Ch. 17 – Sleepover with the twins

I had texted Maria earlier in the day and wanted to know if David, and Riley could spend the night separately to give them a break.

Her reply was “yeah like I’ll turn that down, but remember Riley is being punished so he must stay diapered”

So at dinner we asked David if he would like to spend the night at the RV.  Of course he was elated.  I then made sure to let Riley know that he could stay the next night or so.  We asked Maggie if she wanted to spend the night and we were flatly declined.  Josh said he would think about it.

We stayed at the Magic Kingdom for the fireworks and then headed back to the vacation house to get some clothes for David to spend the night. We then headed back to the RV park.

“Well we’re here” I said as I pulled up to the RV and unlocked the RV.

“What do you want to do, watch a movie? We got Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime.?” Max said

“Let’s watch a movie” David said

“Ok, here’s the remote, find something to watch.  I am going to get our PJ’s on and then one of us will get you ready for bed as well.” Max said as he ushered me to the bedroom.  After he got my diaper changed he got into his typical t-shirt and track pants and I got into a onesie and some PJ bottoms.

We exited the bedroom and Max went to wash his hands and I motioned for David to follow me to the bedroom. “Grab your PJ’s and let’s get you changed, you look soggy” I said as we entered the bedroom.  I patted the bed that max uses that we put a changing mat onto.

“You sleep in that every night?” David asked pointing at my crib.

“Nope, that’s your brother’s bed” I said with a smile.  “Yes that is the only bed in the bedroom.  Before we re-did the bedroom, your brother was sleeping on the sofa”

I made quick work of getting his shorts and onesie off, leaving him in just his diaper.  “Woah boy you gave this diaper a good soaking”

“Yeah I drank a lot today.” He said

“Well then we should put a booster in there” I said as I reached into the diaper stacker and grabbed a booster pad and put it in his diaper before sliding it underneath him.  I powdered him up and taped his diaper shut.  His mom had sent a printed onesie and some PJ bottoms.

“This is so thick” He said

“Yeah but you drank as much as we did today you’re gonna need it.  OK, I know you want to climb in there, so go ahead and do it” I said as I unlatched the gate.  He didn’t give it a second thought as he hopped up and climbed into the awaiting crib and I shut the gate.

“This is nice.  I honestly could get used to something like this” He said. “Not that mom and dad would EVER allow it.”

“Yeah it is nice, and it took me a long time to be able to do this.  Let’s go watch this movie before it gets too late” I said

We got out of the bed room area and both washed our hands in the bathroom.  Upon entering the kitchen I see a glass, 2 sippy cups and 2 bottles on the counter.

“What are we drinking and in what” Max asked

I was expecting that David would pick a sippy cup, but he snatched up the bottle and said he wanted juice if we had any.  We always have juice or fruit punch or something of the sort in the fridge.

“Ok, go sit down you two” He said making me realize that the question what really just for David.  David and I sat on the sofa and Max soon followed with a big bowl of popcorn and drinks for us.

It did not take David that long before he got the hang of the bottle, and after the movie started we both leaned into max as we drank our bottles. Part way through the movie Max got up and refilled our bottles, but by then David was dropping off to sleep.  When he almost dropped the bottle while dozing off, Max grabbed the bottle and laid David onto his lap and fed him the bottle.

Max and I had talked about sleeping arrangements when he was changing me and it was agreed on what to do based off of choices made by David.  By the end of the movie David was sound asleep and I was tired too.  Max expertly picked David up and carried him to the bedroom and put him in the crib, putting his teddy bear from his bag into his hands.  I don’t think he ever woke up.  I took the other bed, and Max took the sofa.  That night Max gave David another treat too, producing a new pacifier and keeper from the cupboard.  I grabbed mine from the bedside table as well and the lights were turned out and we all went to bed.

I woke up early in the morning like I always do to the silent alarm from my watch, I rolled over and almost fell out of bed too.  I looked over and saw David snuggled up with his teddy bear and sucking on the pacifier in his mouth.  I very quietly slid out of bed and into the kitchen where the coffee maker was waiting for me.  It was almost 7 am and max was still asleep too. So I quietly poured my coffee, and quietly slid into the dinette and checked my iPad; Zorro kitty decided to jump up on my lap as well.

I uploaded a blog post and scheduled it for the following week.  Checked emails and comments, blocked some trolls, and such. My mom had sent me a text about what we were doing after Max’s parents went back home too. Right about that time Max began to stir and I made the sign to stay quiet.

“Mom and Dad were wanting to know if we would be back after your folks left, or not.  I did not know what to tell them.  Honestly I don’t want to drive this thing all the way back up there for a few days, and then back down south again.   I mean we could fly home, or drive the fiat and stay in hotels on the way up, or fly them down here.”

“If we fly home, we have your Cobalt to drive, if we drive the fiat up, we have to drive it back down.  Would they want to come down this way?  Either way is it too short of notice to fly anyways?” Max said, going over the options.

“It’s never too short of notice, you just pay more for the airfare.  Mom did not seem keen to fly down here, not sure why though, said they had a surprise for me up there” I said

I sent a message to my assistant and had him work on airfare to go from Orlando to Columbus and the dates.  He said that he found room on a charter jet, how fancy.

We let David sleep until about a quarter till 8 when we had to go get him up as we had to be getting ready to go to the park.  I fired up the water heater and then we went into the bedroom and started to wake him up.  “Hey buddy did you sleep ok last night?”

“Mmm hmm” he said not realizing he had a pacifier in his mouth before it fell out.  “Yes I slept good, how’d I end up in the crib, and who’s is this?” He said picking up the pacifier.

”Well your brother carried you in here and the pacifier is yours now.” I said.  I know that you said that you never had anything for yourself, and that’s why you like diapers because they are for just you.  Well last night, drinking from the bottle, being fed a bottle, and sleeping in the crib and the pacifier are something that is just for you.”

“Now  don’t tell mom and dad about all that, you can keep the pacifier, but hide it down in your bag” Max said. “Ok you need to get a shower, the water should be hot, and you need to be quick about it, jump in, soap up, rinse off and shut it off.  You can also click the water on and off to conserve water if you would too.  All three of us need showers and the last person is getting a cold one most likely”

Max unlatched the crib and patted the other bed that he had spread a changing pad out on and David quickly hopped over and his sodden diaper removed.  Naked he scurried into the bathroom and I heard the shower start up.

Max popped in and put a towel on the top of the toilet lid.  He quickly got out and dried off before coming back in with the towel wrapped around him.  I decided to just take my stuff into the bathroom and strip in there while Max was re-diapering David.  When I exited the bathroom David was sitting on the sofa in just a baby print diaper.

“Why didn’t you dress him?” I asked

“I dunno, I guess I figured he would do that himself” Max said

“Well he didn’t.  I’ll get him dressed while you’re in the shower” I said

Max re-diapered me and I grabbed a onsie and shorts and dressed before bringing clothes out for David to put on. “Here buddy” I said as I threw clothes at him.

“Did you want some breakfast, I got cereal, yogurt, frozen waffles no syrup, eggs” I said

“Cereal is fine” He said

“Ok, go sit at the table and we’ll get some cereal” I said as I grabbed two bowls and the milk from the fridge and the box of Cheerios from the pantry.

We both ate our cereal and made some small talk.

“So today is Epcot, which is mostly indoor rides and stuff, which is good because it may rain” I said

“Rain sucks, but hopefully not all day” David said

“Naw, it rains for like an hour and then stops, sun comes out and that swampy feeling returns.  So you are going with your mom and dad today and Riley is coming with us. Just to give you and your parents some time one on one.” I said

“Oh OK”, he said kind of sounding dejected, he had wanted to stay with us

“It’ll be fun and we’ll probably run into each other a few times too” I said hoping to shine a little light on the day.

By now Max was done with his shower and quickly retreated to the bedroom.  When he came out he grabbed a bowl and spoon from the kitchen and sat down with us and ate.

“Ok, the water heater is not able to keep up for 3 back to back showers, so we will need to switch things up tomorrow, one of us may need to shower tonight, dibs on that” He said

“Somebody get a little cold” David said “You should be used to it, our water is never enough after a few showers in our house.”

“Right, dad needs to put in a bigger heater at the house, but never does” Max said “Are both of you boys packed up and ready to go?”

“I am, camera batteries charged, diapers packed, snacks, all done” I said

“I think I got everything, but I need some more diapers.” David said

“Mom will have some more when we meet them” Max said as he finished his cereal and grabbed ours and put them in the sink.  We tidied up, put the couch back in, washed the dishes and dried them and then were out the door.

We arrived at their vacation house and switched twins and then headed over to Epcot.  Maggie went with us again that day, it seemed to work ok yesterday.

“So Riley, where do you want to go first?” I asked

“I dunno, is that big ball a ride?” He said

“It is, it’s called spaceship earth.   Almost all the rides here are able to be done by everybody, and most are inside too.”

We worked our way around the park, and I could tell that Maggie was just about to drop from all the walking they did yesterday and Riley was slowing down as well.  We passed by one of the main entrances where they rented strollers and decided to rent one.  They only had doubles, which was ok, but Riley got the wrong first impression.

“I’m not riding in that thing!” He stomped

“Nobody said you had to bud, they only had doubles, so I have an idea… how about you throw your backpack in there, we’ll throw ours in there too, then were not luggin them around all day, hows that sound?” I said getting down to his level.

“Ok, I just don’t want to sit in the baby stroller” He said

Maggie had no problems, she was tired and this allowed her to not have to walk around.   Right about lunch time, Riley came to me.

“Umm, I need you” Was all he said

“OK, grab your bag” I said as I grabbed mine and his too.  We found a companion bathroom that had a big change table.  I hoisted him up and laid him down.  I made quick work of his sodden and partly soiled diaper, cleaned him up and re-diapered him.  I then told him to wait outside with his brother as I needed to take care of myself.

After changing myself I went outside and we had another one who needed the potty.  I sent her into the companion bathroom and stayed outside the stall until she was done.  We washed our hands again and continued to meet the rest of the family for lunch.

“Riley did you need changed, Maggie do you need to go to the bathroom?” Maria said when she met us.

“Nope Jason got me taken care of and Maggie too” Riley said.

“Just asking, I gotta take David to get changed, be right back” Maria said

“So you kids having fun?” Carl asked, which they all said they were having fun, but the younger ones were getting tired

“So the stroller was no big deal for Maggie?” Carl asked.

“Nope, she was more than happy, Riley thought we got a double for him, that was all they had left” I said to which got Carl laughing.

“What you didn’t want to ride in the stroller?” He said to Riley

“No”

Soon enough David and Maria came back and we went to sit down for lunch.  I glanced over at David and sure enough I see the top of the pacifier clip on his onsie.  I thought we told him to keep it hidden.

This kids must have been starving as the twins and Maggie just scarfed down their chicken tenders and were ready for dessert, while the grown ups were taking their time with their hamburgers and chicken sandwiches.  Dessert came and everybody finished and we left.

It was decided to go to a show to let the food digest, it was a dark theatre so I couldn’t really see when it happened, but when the lights came up David had his pacifier clearly planted in his mouth, he got up and just let it drop to the end of the ribbon and walked out.  One of his older brothers said something but Maria quickly let them know to leave him alone “He can do whatever he wants, we will still love him just the same”

It seems the whole pacifier thing was already discussed between Maria and Carl and they did not seem to have an issue with it, or at least it seemed.

We took Riley and Maggie and headed off to an unvisited part of the park and did some more attractions, by now we are all the way at the back of the park and we needed to start meandering our way to the front for the fireworks and to go home.

It was at this point that Riley had just pretty much given up on walking around.

“I’m tired, can we just sit.” He whined

I mean yeah I was tired too, I had walked like 5 miles today in the hot sun.  If I was a tad smaller Max would be pushing me. “Sorry buddy, I wish we could.  Why don’t you hop in and go along for the ride”

“But, I don’t want…” He said trailing off as Max picked him up and placed him in the seat and buckled him in.

“Just deal with it, and let it go.  We’ve seen other kids your size in the strollers all day.” Max said

He wasn’t happy then, but we breezed through the park and he enjoyed that he did not have to walk all that way.

We got to the front and found Michael and Josh, but it was a few minutes before Carl and Maria and David showed up.  They too had used the idea and were pushing a sleepy David in the stroller.  David was quietly sucking on his pacifier.  We watched the fireworks and then headed back to the vacation house where Riley grabbed an overnight bag to stay with us.

We drove back to the RV park. Since this was Riley’s time, we asked what he wanted to do?

“I dunno, watch a movie, play xbox, I need changed though badly” He said

“Yeah me too” I chimed in

“Well then how about we do this. Riley you are first up getting changed, then you can take your shower, maybe try to use the toilet if you need to.  I’ll get Jason changed and then when you are done I’ll take mine a little later once the water has time to re-heat.” Max said

I had already turned the water heater on when we came in, so it would be warmed up.

Max directed him to the bedroom and to the spare bed and I opened the bathroom door, which blocks the ‘hallway’ back to the bedroom, in addition to the accordion door on the bedroom.  I heard the accordion door open and the bathroom door close and max came out. “Flush by stepping GENTLY on the foot pedal, don’t flush anything but TP in there.  The water tank is small, so get in, get wet, soap up and rinse off, you can stop the water with the switch on the shower head.”

“Ok” Riley said.

“Ok, your turn, lets get you changed and in your jammies” Max said.

I quickly went into the bedroom and got changed and got my jammies on and we both headed to the kitchen while we waited for Riley to get done in the bathroom.

“So should we present the same drink options as last night? I asked

“You mean the sippy cups and bottles? Max asked to which I nodded yes.

“You know that he won’t choose a bottle, probably won’t even do a sippy cup” Max said

“We’ll see then” I said

Just then I heard the shower stop and I went to the bedroom to get it ready for him.  He exited the bathroom and into the bedroom, surprised to see me.

“Are you all dried off?  If so then hop on up and we can get you ready.”  I said

He climbed up on the bed and laid down, and I quickly had him re-diapered and was grabbing his clean onsie and motioned for his hands and then put it over his head and worked it down his torso by rolling him back and forth.  I then snapped it up in between his legs before helping him sit back up.

“Now are you sure you don’t want to sleep in the crib tonight?  You can if you want to” I said, knowing that this would be too much for him

“Uh No, but where will I sleep?” He asked

“Well you can take the sofa, it pulls out or you can just sleep on it the way it is now.” I said as I looked through his bag. “Uh your mom didn’t pack any PJ bottoms for you.  You ok in just your onsie or do you want to see if I have something that will fit?”

“I’m ok in this if you all are.” He said

“That’s usually all I wear around here.  Let’s go get something to drink.”

We walked to the kitchen where Max had been popping popcorn and had 2 bottles set out and filled up, no sippy cups.  Riley saw this and just said “Nope not happening”

“Aww you look like a whittle baby anyways, don’t you want your ba ba?  Fine then a sippy cup then” Max said

“Can I get a regular glass?” Riley asked

“Nope!, How about a glass with a straw” Max said

“Deal!”

“Oh well more for me” I said as I grabbed one of the bottles from the counter.  Max poured Riley a glass of punch and handed it to him.  Max then motioned for us to sit. He grabbed the popcorn and the other baby bottle and winked at me.

Max headed to the bedroom and then headed to the bathroom and took a quick shower.  When he returned he brought the popcorn over, and also grabbed the pizza rolls that I had put in the microwave for us all.

Max clicked off the lights overhead and sat down between us like he had done the night before, and I leaned into him and drank my bottle. The movie started and Riley made it about 30 minutes into it when he started dozing off.  Max gently pulled him over to him so he was practically laying on him. He waited a few more minutes before motioning me to hand him the extra bottle.  He waited a little more and then gently put the nipple up to Riley’s lips, and like instinct kicked in, he opened his mouth and started sucking on the awaiting nipple.

I was amazed that he was able to do that with the greatest of ease.  Soon enough he finished the bottle.  What max did next was freaking amazing.  He pulled from his pocket another frosted plastic box, which I knew what was in that.  He popped it open and ever so carefully clipped the ribbon to the top of Riley’s onsie and popped the pacifier in his mouth.

He then motioned for me to get up, then he slid over and laid the sleeping boy down on the sofa, covered him up and we went to bed, but not before he snapped a photo for evidence.

Tomorrow we were not doing any of the parks to give everybody a chance to rest up a bit.  We were probably going to downtown Disney or City walk at Universal a little later in the day.  The plan was to meander over to the vacation house around 10 am and do a brunch then do something quick and fun, the kids wanted to go to a water park, but I don’t think it was warm enough.

The next morning I woke up and patiently waited for Max to wake up and let me out, which he woke up  after me being up 30 minutes.  We both slipped out to the living room to find that Riley was still asleep, pacifier still in his mouth too.  We quietly (as quiet as we could) made coffee and sat at the dinette, glancing over now and then at the sleeping pre-teen.  Eventually he started to stir, and finally woke up and realized he had something in his mouth and spit it out.

“Eeeww gross, Jason is this yours?, sick” He said.

“Nope, it’s yours, it’s stuck to your shirt, so it is yours” Max said. “Don’t worry it was new and clean before it went in your mouth”

“You let Jason do that to me?” Riley asked

“No your brother did that to you, I was on the other end of the couch.  He fed you a bottle too, come here watch the security camera video.”  I said

Riley came crinkling over and looked at the video file from the security DVR.

“Erase that, I was sleeping and you did that to me.  I can’t believe you” He whined.

“Ok chill out, I was going to put you in the crib, but Jason wanted to sleep in his own bed.” Max said

“Do you want something to drink first, or your diaper changed first” I asked, trying to change the subject.  “We got OJ, Milk, or make chocolate milk”

“Chocolate milk, and I’m hungry.  Cereal is good with me” He said as he went into the kitchen as I joined him and got him a bowl, the cereal and then grabbed the milk and chocolate syrup.  I made myself the same.

As we sat there I could tell that Riley was hatching a plan, he was moaning and groaning.  While Max was in the bathroom, I whispered to Riley “Want to get him back?”

“Yes, how?” He asked

“Well I can tell you got something cooking, I am going to get in and get a shower.  I know you don’t like to do that, but I can also tell you he’s not keen on cleaning up a big mess either.”  I said with a smirk on my face.

He got that same smirk and shortly after he walked out of the bathroom, I hopped in the bedroom, got my stuff for a shower and got in there.  I glanced out to see Riley push out the mess into his diaper and then go sit back down.  As I start the shower I hear “well you can just wait till I’m done eating”

When I got done I could hear them in the bedroom, so I made sure to dry off really well (slow), and even used the potty myself (sorry still don’t like messing when I can help it).  I got my business done and then went to the bedroom to find Max just finishing up.

“You told him to do that too didn’t you” He said

“Nooo I would never tell somebody to make a mess for you to clean up, I know you don’t care to do that” I said with such sweetness in my voice

“Sure….  Well just wait until I get you home tonight.” He said

We all were ready and out the door by 11:00 am.  We headed over to the vacation house where everybody else was waiting.  It was decided that we would go out to a buffet for brunch and then hit up CityWalk and some other tourist traps. Mainly the idea was to just take it easy, do a bit of shopping and relax.

“So we are thinking tomorrow doing Disney studios, then doing our Christmas down here, then on the 26th Universal and the Harry Potter park the final days. Rest on the 28th and head home on the 29th or 30th” Carl said, laying out the next several days.

“We didn’t get the kids much this year to open on Christmas, this trip was their big present, then they got some others at home, mostly small stuff to open here.” Maria said

“What are you two doing after we head home?” Carl asked

“Eh maybe hang out a couple days, then we are going to fly home and see my folks, we’ll park the RV at a cheaper RV park, then fly back and probably head along the gulf coast , New Orleans before Mardi gras, through Texas, probably hang at the gulf coast for a bit and then meet up with some other nomads in Arizona if they’re still there. Just basically try to stay warm ya know” I said

We ended up all going to a Movie that night, then Disney Studios the next day.  Then Christmas Day we all hung out.

Carl and Maria got a nice dinner from a local place delivered and we feasted on that.

Michael got a new bedroom, moving into Max’s old room, there would still be a spare bed for Max though.  Josh kept his room, but Riley was now moving in there, which he was cool with, as he knew that in a year, Michael would move out, josh would move up and he would have that room to himself.

The biggest thing is that David for once has his own room, and it was truly going to be his style. His mom and dad had agreed to let him have his bed with rails on it, like my RV crib, but he had to have them off when he had friends over, so just at night.  He got some cloth diapers and plastic pants, all this was just photos that his parents presented in envelopes.

They got yearly pool passes for the next summer. Maggie got a new bike, the boys got computer games, clothes they needed, etc.  They all understood that their big present was this trip.

Max and I talked about where our plans were taking us in the upcoming months, when it warmed up we were planning on driving across Canada, maybe up to Alaska, and such.

That night back at the RV with just ourself, we talked about maybe inviting the twins to go on a trip with us, not too far away, nothing like to Florida or out of the country, maybe to a state over, or one of the state parks.
