Max and I had been talking about our plans were for the summer in terms of are we going to travel or not, and to where. The twins were really itching to do a road trip with us, and not be under their parent’s thumb for spring break coming up, or maybe a week in the summer.
Max said that we needed to be at the campground more this year and let my mom and dad have the summer off. Which I can understand. They have basically been living at the campground pretty much all spring summer and fall. We had also decided to hire work campers this summer, since we had so much trouble with finding part time help last year.
We had 3 sets of couples that we hired for work camping. Each person had to do 16 hours a week, which included office work, cleaning and maintenance; It was to be split pretty much equally over the week for all. After the 16 hours they were paid for the extra hours. In exchange they got their spot, water, electric, internet, and discount for propane.
Dad and Max did the interviews for the work campers. We had hired a same sex couple, a retired couple, and a 20 something couple. The retired couple said they were traveling with a class C RV, the young couple was in a truck camper, and our same sex couple said they had a pull behind trailer.
We had them come the last week of April, the week before we opened up for the season. Max and I had arranged to have them arrive Sunday whenever they wanted to. The plan was to do 3 days of training starting Monday.
Dad and Max were going to handle the outdoor stuff that needs to be done, this was allotted for 2 days. Mom and I would do training for the office software, cash register, and then all 4 of us would cover the campground rules and policies.
We had Steve and Donna, our retired couple. Alex and Willow, the 30 year old couple. Shawn and Marcus were our same sex couple, Shawn was 35, and Marcus was 21. I could have pegged Marcus as his son, but they assured us that they were a couple.
Dad and Max did the outdoor stuff with Steve, Alex, Willow and Shawn; showing them the property, going over what is required. Alex needed help with how to operate a tractor, which dad said he would help him with, the other two were more than proficient. They covered all the ‘dirty jobs’ of the campground; cleaning bathrooms, emptying tanks and running the honey wagon. The biggest chore of the year is de-winterizing the water system.
At the end of the year all the water had been blown out of the pipes, the sinks and toilets had pink antifreeze. We pump the antifreeze into the water system as well, so all the taps need to be run for several minutes. So they had to make sure each site had the tap open, while slowly turning the water back on to the section of sites, including the shower houses and bathrooms.
Being seasoned campers they were more than able to assist with the systems in a typical RV, which some new campers may need help with setting up their campsites and the facilities.
Next they started in on turning the power on to each site and testing that it worked, basically plug in a surge protector/tester and then flip the breaker and check to see the wiring is correct.
That afternoon Marcus came up to the office to see if he could help with anything. When I saw him walking up I seriously thought it was a kid of one of the seasonal campers that had dropped by. As soon as he got close I noticed something was different about him. He was almost dressed like he was 13 rather than 21. He had a Stitch t-shirt and baggy jeans on. Mom put him to work on folding letters and stuffing envelopes that we were sending out to our previous campers. When he ran out of envelopes and went to get another box off a top shelf, that’s when I saw it.
Peeking above the top of his jeans was the distinct waistband of a Goodnites pull-up. I really did not know what to do, should I say something. Could he be an ABDL, or maybe incontinent? I didn’t want to embarrass him, so I did nothing.
I also was diapered as I always am, but was not flaunting it, being dressed in Jeans, polo and a onsie underneath.
Dad and Max and the other 4 got done with their work about 4:00 pm, and they all came into the office, where Shawn noticed that Marcus was in the office helping us.
“Hey sweetie, what are you doing here, I thought you were going to be at the camper all day playing…. On your computer” Shawn said.
“I got bored so I came up here after walking around a bit.” Marcus said. He acted like he was being scolded.
“Ok, well I’m sure your help was appreciated, let’s get back to the camper and make dinner buddy.” Shawn said as they headed back to their camper.
Since training for the office stuff was not until tomorrow, Donna had taken the chance to go into town and do their shopping and get to know the area. She soon came up the lane and stopped at the gate, as the gate was closed.
“No time like now to talk about the entry gates. Ok, you all need these.” Mom said as she sat 6 of the gate fobs on the counter. “These are manager level fobs, so they will open the metal gate at the end of the lane and this one. Also there is a bypass code in case you do not have your fobs. Your fobs and codes work 24/7.”
“Weekend campers do not have fobs, so whoever is working the office will have to raise the gate by hitting the green button here where it says office gate. The gate at the end of the lane is open when the campground is open. There is a keypad and fob reader out there. If it is closed you can use your fob, or code. If it is closed and somebody arrives at the gate and needs in, they will hold zero on the keypad. The gate will call the office number, and on duty cell. To open it just hold the star key on the phone. There is an exit sensor on each gate.” I said
“We close the gate at the end of the lane at midnight on the weekends and 11 through the week, nobody is to be allowed in unless it is an emergency or prior approval. We do not leave the gate by the office open ever, we either raise the gate, or they have a fob.” Dad said. “Well we are done for the day, tomorrow we will do the office systems training here. We will open the office at 9, and you are welcome to swing by for coffee and one of us will get some donuts in town. Jason and my wife will start training at 10”
They all went back to their trailers, Max and I went back to our RV and mom and dad went home. I had told Max about Marcus and that I was 99% certain that I saw the top of a goodnite type pull-up on him. Max said that it was probably just me ‘wanting’ him to be a diaper boy since he was so young looking and cute.
He was probably right, I was just wanting to see that. We ate dinner, watched some TV and then Max said it was time for bed and put me to bed. I had an early day tomorrow.
I was up at the office at 8:30 that morning, we had setup a couple tables and chairs with laptops on them near the 70” TV in the activity room. Max got the coffee going and shortly around 9:00 mom and dad came up the drive.
Mom had gotten 2 dozen donuts and muffins for everybody to enjoy. Shortly after all 6 of our work campers arrived at the office. Dad took Shawn and Steve with him and left Alex, Willow, Donna and Marcus with us for the office training. Shawn and Steve had already said in their interview that they were not interested in office work, and Marcus said he was only interested in office work. We also had another local full time person and part-time for each department, and a floater from last year who would be in Wednesday.
That was fine, so we had 4 people to train on the reservation system, cash register, keeping inventory, tracking and loaning out equipment like power adapters, games, etc.
Donna had some experience in the reservation software, the rest were computer literate to varying extents. Most of this stuff was boring to most, but it has to be known as the office gets very busy on the weekends, and people get impatient.
Max had about half knowledge in the software and had did the online trainings the night before, but he sat in the back with his MacBook following along.
Today I noticed that Marcus filled out his jeans a little more, making them look less baggy. He also had a shirt that was tucked in under his Baby Yoda t-shirt. He also brought a backpack with him. Now tell me that all signs did not point to a diaper boy.
My suspicions were bolstered as we walked to the office and I could see the boxy outline of a diaper butt, and when he moved I could hear a slight crinkle, it was faint, but it takes one to know one.
We broke for lunch at 2:30, Dad and the other outside people had broke about 2 and had started the grill and were making hamburgers that we had in the freezer.
We had worked out a deal with a local butcher shop to sell a small amount of their meats in the general store, and we always had boxes of frozen hamburger patties, as people always either forget food, or run out and don’t want to make the 10 mile trek into town. Even though there is a Dollar General up the road, they are really just good for hot dogs.
When we broke for lunch, Marcus grabbed his backpack and headed off to the bathroom, to emerge about 10 minutes later and went straight to the dumpster and came back and washed his hands and acted like nothing happened.
Marcus had not grabbed a burger, just a bottle of water, in addition to his shaker bottle, like the kind that people use for protein shakes. He had been drinking from that big shaker bottle all day along with a bottle of water. He opened the top of the shaker bottle and reached into his backpack and grabbed a baggie of premeasured powder and poured it in the container along with the bottle of water and sealed it up and shook it up. It was funny because it took all of his body movement to shake that dang thing.
I just thought that maybe he did not like meat or animal products, but when we got the delivery truck from the ice cream company he was all for a cup of ice cream; you know the ones with the little wooden spoons.
I had pulled Max aside and said that we should invite Shawn and Marcus over this evening, and he agreed.
The afternoon for us office folk was spent unloading boxes of stock that had arrived in the last week, stocking the ice cream case, storing the excess, general cleaning, marking what light bulbs maintenance needs to replace in the activity building. We had about 40 reservations for this weekend’s soft opening, so we went ahead and printed out their check-in paperwork.
The work day ended about 5:00 pm, again it was almost like Shawn was picking up Marcus from the babysitter’s or school. The two walked hand in hand back to their cute little camper.
Max and I got into the side by side and rode back to our campsite, as I was in need of a change. After a diaper change I went over to Shawn and Marcus’ campsite and I knocked on the door.
I could hear somebody right inside the door, but it took a moment for them to open it. What I saw confirmed my theory about Marcus. As soon as the door opened, I could see into the camper briefly. There where what should have been a sofa/bunk bed, but instead it looked like they had put a rail up to make it into a crib.
Shawn stepped out, closing the door behind him “Hey boss, what’s up.” He said kind of stammering.
“Not much, just wanted to invite you two to come to our place and enjoy dinner and hang out.” I said
“Uh, um. I guess we could, Marcus is kind of a picky eater, so he’ll probably skip dinner” Shawn said
“Hey man, not trying to pry into your lives, but if I saw what I think I saw, it looks like you have a crib in there. Like I said no judgement here, I am down with the crinkle too” I said, trying to tip my hand
His face and demeanor changed a bit until it clicked. “So you are the ABDL? I thought it might be max, or one of the others, as you said there are other people part of the family who helps run the place”
“Yeah, that would be me, the Boss Baby” I said.
“Well as long as we are being honest, come on in” he said as he opened the door to the camper.
Inside I see as soon as walk in Marcus sitting in a crib, he was looking worried like they may have gotten fired. The camper was small, no dinette, well it had a dinette, it was just in a bed format.
Shawn saw the worry in Marcus’ eyes. “It’s ok baby, he’s the ABDL”
“Yeah it is fine. I kinda wondered yesterday, as when you reached up to get something off the shelf in the office I saw the top of a goodnite, and then today with bringing your bag with you and going straight from the bathroom to the dumpster and a few other things it kinda gave it away more… nothing obvious, just if you are a diaper wearer you notice things” I said
Shawn had moved to the bed and was sitting down on the bed, I just kinda stood near the stove top looking the camper over. “Nice camper, small but looks like it works for you two. Stove, fridge, sink and I assume a bathroom” I said knocking on the door.
“Yep we had the 13 foot version without the bathroom, and the little bitty fridge, and it worked too, but I had ordered this 16 foot new, there was a 12 month wait, so we used the 13 footer until it was ready and then sold the 13 footer for pretty much what I paid for it”
I couldn’t help but notice that above the crib a bag of what looked like formula was hanging and it went into a little pump hanging on the crib rail, the tubing continued into the leg hole of Marcus’ onsie.
“I’m guessing the feeding tube is the reason you did not eat anything at lunch, you were drinking your meal.” I said
To which Marcus affirmed. “When we get to a new place, I try to be as normal as I can, but it is not always the easiest thing to do. Our last work camp job the ladies in the office bullied and bossed me around and did not treat me well, and then when they found out I was a little baby, we got told that we were not working out and either had to leave, or pay for our spot like a normal camper. We stayed for about a month, and daddy I mean Shawn could not find another job and we could not afford to stay there much longer.”
“It’s ok buddy, don’t ever feel bad about us having to leave there it was a bad situation.” Shawn said “We just boondocked and slowly looked for work. I was in construction and building maintenance, so I could find day labor stuff and return back to the camper at night.”
“Then I was looking for another place, looking on YouTube, found your place and read your website and waaayyy at the bottom you had an AB pride logo, I knew it was that because I hovered over it and it said the graphic name was AB pride. So I applied for the spot, and hoped we would get it. It was either here or we would have to go back to his parents house… my mom’s house is definitely not happening.”
“Yeah I had that AB pride logo put on there as just somewhat of a beacon to see if anybody else would ever notice, a couple people have. The first year we ran the place I let my toddler side out enough that people got the hint that I was the Boss Baby and if they did not like it to find other camping arrangements” I said
“Hey it’s your place” Shawn piped in. “I told Marcus to let you all know in the application that he has special issues, but he did not want to say anything that might get us not hired. Hey, if you want us to join you two for the evening we can, I just need to get him changed and situated and then we will be over.”
“Ok, well I am going to drive around and make sure things are picked up, lock up the office if it isn’t already and I’ll be back to pick you two up.” I said, knowing that our camper over in the new section was quite a hike.
I made my rounds, making sure the office was locked up, grabbed the on-call phone, dialed into the front gate and closed it, texted Max that they accepted our dinner offer and we would be home soon. I swung back by Shawn and Marcus’s campsite and they were waiting. This time Marcus had a medium sized backpack on with what I assumed was his feeding pump in it as the tubing came out and disappeared into his waistband of his jeans. Shawn had the backpack that Marcus had with him today, obviously this was probably his diaper bag.
“All ready?” I said
“Yep!” Marcus said as he hopped in the back of the side-by-side with Shawn getting in the front.
We rode to the back of the park and through the gate to the new section of the park. The only things back here are our new RV, the workshop and the new lodge. “You live all the way back here” Marcus said
“Yeah this is the new section of the campground, we are going to have it as more of a group camping section or a premium section. We moved our rig back here so that we could free up space in the main campground. We might do an ABDL campout at some point. We can close the gate, and people can enter from the other side.” I said as we rolled down the path.
Max had made some BBQ chicken breasts, mac and cheese, and mixed veggies. For dessert he made some banana pudding, with vanillia wafers and sliced bananas. Dinner was great as Max is a great cook.
“So Marcus, you do not eat solid food?” Max asked
“Not really, I was born with some very messed up gastric issues, basically my stomach and intestines cannot process and break down any meat and some veggies. I can eat veggies as long as they are not cooked in or contain meat products. So like I can eat the mixed veggies you made, but if you had made green beans with ham or bacon, I could not eat those. I would get seriously sick if I did.” Marcus said
“Growing up my parents and doctors could not figure out what the problem was. Finally they figured it out. I tried to just eat what I could, it was not enough to sustain weight. You know how hard it is to get a 7 year old to eat fruits and vegetables all the time. After loosing 10 pounds in a year and not gaining any weight, the doctors started with a feeding tube through my nose, which I really hated, but it helped me pack on the weight. When I was 10 I got my G-tube and basically I do a feed about 18 hours a day. I have always been in diapers, part of my issues include spina bifida, which mainly affects my bladder and bowels. You know one thing leads to another and I just never grew up.” Marcus said
“So how did you two meet?” I asked
“Well like I said, I just never grew up, my mom doted on me every step I took, I had to beg to be able to go to public school. I had wanted to go to college, but she sewed so much doubt in my mind about moving out that I decided not to. Seriously I think she would have still been changing my diapers had I not revolted. I had gotten in a diaper chat room and met daddy online, and we chatted for about a year before meeting the first time, he came to see me one weekend. When my mom found out she hit the roof, yelling and arguing with me, she thought she could ground me. She took my phone, and blocked the internet.”
“He eventually got to the library and sent me an email. I knew I had to get him out of there. It took several months but we did it. I had him stockpile his medical supplies in duffel bags and crates. One day while his mom was gone at her ladies bible study, I swung by and we loaded up my old ford van and took off” Shawn said
“I left a note that said I am gone, I am leaving on my own choice, I’ll call you when I want to. She did not like that, she had the police come and try to say I was kidnapped. Which I was not! Finally I had to threaten to press charges for harassment to make my mom stop.” Marcus said “Daddy helped me get my license, then he got the camper and we hit the open road. We’ve been together for almost 3 years now, I’ve been taking courses on web page design and applications. We worked some work camping jobs, a couple worked out, a couple like that one did not.”
“So how did you two meet?” Shawn asked
I told him about me being a bedwetter, gay, getting kicked out, winning the lottery, traveling for 8 months and then taking a cruise and meeting Max, getting babied by Max on the cruise, and then him and I hitting the road together as a couple.
“So the same Tim and Sandy that help you, kicked you out for being gay, and you still are civil to them?” Shawn asked, confused how I could ever forgive them.
“Honestly it was a different time, and mindset back then. I never really cut ties with my mom, but my dad and I had not spoken for like 8 years. I won’t ever let it happen again, but I can forgive him.” I said
“Yeah my parents were even more confused by what I did. My folks are very conservative Christians, like church every Sunday, Wednesday night, bible study on Tuesday type. I explained that while I was not gay, I am not interested in anybody but Jason, and it is strictly caring for him only, being his daddy.”
“That is good to hear, Daddy and I are like that too, he just wants me to be little and a good boy,” Marcus said.
We hung out around the campfire for a bit, before Shawn and Marcus said it was getting late and Marcus needed to be in bed soon.
We had talked about getting golf carts or side-by-sides for each work pair this year, so no time like now to get Shawn and Marcus their’s.
“Hey before you go, let’s go over to the garage.” I said as we walked over to the garage. “This is a big property, and you all need to have an easy way to get from your camp sites to all areas of the park, so we got work carts. So you two got the John Deere Gator over here” I said as I opened the garage.
“Really, so these are for us to keep at our campsites?” Shawn said “Most places just have one cart that is on it’s last leg, one place we had to use our own vehicles after the golf cart broke and they would not fix it.”
“Yep, it should be easier that way, especially once we open the new area, we will have one of you working this area, so somebody would move their camper over here. Depending on if you want to, that could be you two.” Max said
“I got a great deal on the gators, just take care of it, we have a fueling area behind the garage in the main section. There is also tarps up at the other garage that you can use to cover it if it rains.”
The Wednesday morning all 6 of our work campers along with the 3 locals who were working this season met up in the office around 11 am. I had filled mom in on Marcus’ medical stuff, and that day he showed up with his small backpack with his feeding tube hooked up, obviously he had a little diaper bulge that I noticed.
This morning was more boring stuff, we went over all the policies, rules, time keeping etc that we had. We got everybody setup on the time clock, got the schedules printed starting on Friday morning at 9 am.
The goal was to have both people in the couple working the same hours, and have the same days off. The same days off was a must, and the same hours was pretty much doable with maybe the shifts being an hour or two off.
Max and I had brought over 2 more utility vehicles that morning, and him and dad got 2 more before we ended the training at 2 PM. Vehicles were distributed the other two couples and 2 more were parked at the office.
Dad and Max were busy with the contractors at the new section. The final plumbing, and sewer inspections were today and tomorrow was electrical
Thursday was everybody’s off day, except mom, dad, max and I. We had final inspection for the electricity that day. The plumbing and sewer passed with flying colors the day before.
It was said the electrical inspector was really tough, but luckily we would pass with flying colors as well. This is what happens when you hire good contractors.
Passing the inspections mean that we would now be able to open the new section, which I called Rocking Horse Acres. Since we had no clue when it would open, it is not listed on the reservation website. We still had a few things left to do, like setup the wifi hotspots, ethernet, and finalize the cable service setup. We got the fiber optic connection installed, we started with a 1 gbps speed right now with the ability to get more. I had the IT techs out that next week to install the equipment and get it running.
We had designed each spot to be a pull through spot by making the loops be an inner and outer loop with a large green area in the middle for gatherings.
The lodge was not going to be available that year for use at all. We were still receiving shipments for stuff for the lodge, which was stacking up in the lodge and workshop. That was a total off-season project. The lodge was completely painted, all we needed was furniture assembled. Dad had stopped by Shawn and Marcus’s trailer Thursday evening to check it out, as Shawn had invited him. Dad really loved the little camper, which is small enough to tow with his F-150. I must say I liked it too. Having drove the big RV’s and often times not being able to camp in certain places like some of the small campgrounds. I also was getting tired of having the two RV’s and put my older one up for sale, which I listed almost everywhere local, state, and regional, and nationwide.
