Ch. 36 – One of Us
Once back at the stateroom, David and Riley showed them the room and then their bedroom which got a comment.
“Those look like cribs” James said. “You are going to sleep in there?”
“Yes, that is light compared to the beds we have at home” David said as he pulled up a photo of their room at home with their cribs opened and closed.
Riley dug in his bag to grab his medication and took it, and then grabbed a diaper and headed to the bathroom. “OK, I’ll be done in a moment” he said as he motioned them to the living room. Riley preferred to change laying down whenever he could.
Back in the living room, the three of them were talking and flipping through the channels as the sound of diaper tapes were ripped in the background. Riley walked out of the bunk area and into the bathroom and dropped his diaper in the trashcan with a ‘thunk!’ before washing his hands and returning to the living room. When he entered the living room, this was David’s chance to get a change.
“Be right back.” David said as he slipped into the bunk area and took care of himself like his brother had just done.
When David came back and they were all sitting in the living room, Tyler decided to break the ice. “I just have to say, you two are brave, I’d be so afraid of everybody knowing I wore diapers”.
“Most people don’t notice, when I had to start wearing during the day last year, it took people months before anybody noticed, and that was only because my diaper leaked” David said
“That must have sucked. I’d never be able to show my face again” Tyler said
“It is what it is, it helps that I am older than most of my classmates, and my brother has no problem opening a can of whoopass when people mess with us” David said
“So do any of your friends wear diapers too?” James asked
“Well my friend Will has worn many times in the last couple years. His parents don’t know about him wearing, that is a secret we keep along with our bedroom with the cribs in it. We have another ‘grown up’ one too.”
“You seem a bit interested in the diaper thing, did you want to try them or something?” Riley asked James
“Or would you rather just stuff a couple in your bag and try them later when you want to?” David said, noticing that they both looked like they were put on the spot and ready to chicken out.
“Yeah we could do that.” Tyler said hoping that he would be able to hide the diaper till later. James had other ideas.
“I’ll try one now.” James said
James grabbed a diaper from the pack of plain ones. “Are these the ones I should use?”
“Yes they will be thinner, I normally put a stuffer in them” Riley said
James unfolded the diaper and looked at it and said, “so this side is the back and this is the front, right?” To which riley shook his head yes.
“Ok well can I lay on the bed and put it on? Well give me some privacy and let me try this” James said as he went to the bunk area so he could try on a diaper.
The 3 of them left the bedroom and left James to do his deed. He emerged about 5 minutes later in just a diaper with his shorts at his ankles. “How’d I do?” He asked.
David was a little taken back as he did not expect him to emerge like that. “Yeah, looks like you got it on good”
“Ok, well lets see how my pants fit over this” as he pulled his boxer briefs up and then his shorts up and fastened them up. “Can you tell?”
“Not much, but you better hope mom and dad don’t notice.” Tyler said
“Well I will just have to try not to get caught, we don’t have to meet up with them till midnight, so we can just go to the teen club till then, and before we meet up with them I can take it off.” James said
Riley and David were used to going to bed by 11:00, as Riley’s night meds usually made him sleepy. But they were on vacation, and with each other , so they headed back to the teen club. On the walk back they got to talking
“So what does it feel like with that on?” Tyler asked his little brother.
“Weird but nice and comfortable. It’s like I should be ashamed to be wearing a diaper, but I’m happy and content.” James said
“You gonna wet it when you have to go? What if mom and dad catch us?”
“I’ll tell them that you dared me to do it. Just to throw you under the bus too” James said
James had been hitting the drinks pretty hard before he got diapered up, He really only had about an hour to enjoy the diaper. At one point Tyler looked over and asked James something but he was not paying attention.
“Hey earth to James” Tyler said
“Think he’s doing what I think he’s doing” David said to Riley
“Yep, getting soggy” Riley said, which caused James to blush
“That felt so weird! Like I knew I was wetting and thought at any moment it would leak, but it just took it all.” He said looking at his watch, “Crap! It’s 11:45, we gotta get ready to meet mom and dad. I gotta get this off”
“Here the bathroom is over there, come with me” David said as he ushered James to the bathroom.
“Here’s some wipes once you get the diaper off, wipe down everywhere your diaper covered”
James went into a stall and soon enough David heard his shorts and boxer briefs slide down the smooth plastic of the diaper and one by one the 4 tapes were ripped open with a deafening sound.
“Roll it up from the front to the back and secure it with the tapes” David said
“Ok, what do I do with the diaper”
“Bring it out and throw it in the trash” David said as James unlatched the stall door and darted to the trash can and dropped the diaper in there like he was disposing of a bomb that was about to explode.
David and James met back up with their brothers, and they all went their separate ways back to their cabins.
When David and Riley entered the cabin Max and I were waiting, had just gotten in ourselves.
“So did you have a great time with Tyler and James?” I asked
“Yeah, they are fun to be around.” Riley said
“Yeah” David replied
“Ok, so what all did you do?” Max asked
“Nothing much, went to the club, ate some pizza, James wanted to try diapers, but Tyler chickened out, ya know typical teenager stuff” David said
“You just could not help to convert them to the diaper party, could you?” I said with an eyebrow raised
“We did no such thing, he asked what it felt like, and I told him the only way to know is to find out. So we came back here, and James decided to wear and we sent them back with 2 diapers in their bag to try later.” Riley said
“You realize that we will probably eat dinner with them each night this entire week right?” I said, hoping that the boys did not get the other two or us in trouble.
“Hey it’s on them, nobody forced them to do it, or take spares” David piped in
“Well I guess we will roll with it whatever comes up” Max said. “OK Jason, time to get in your jammies and ready for bed. Why don’t you two get ready for bed too, it’s way after midnight”
I obediently headed to the bedroom to wait for Max to come in and get me ready for bed. I heard the teens head to their bedroom too and could hear them moving about and then the bedroom door and bathroom door opened, sink running. Doors closed and it became quiet. Max turned out the lights in the rest of the suite and then came to bed and snuggled up next to me as I drifted off to sleep.
Sunday morning, I was awoke by the suite attendant entering, dropping off breakfast and leaving. I lay there for probably another 20 minutes before I heard noise from the other bedroom, and knew that I better get up and get breakfast before those two ate it all.
“Was somebody just in here?” Riley said as he exited the bedroom in nothing but a onsie and diaper.
“Yes, just the morning breakfast delivery from the cabin steward.” I whispered as I directed him to close the bedroom door and walk into the living room. “There’s coffee, OJ and chocolate milk to drink and danishes and pastries. Once everybody is up we can all go for a bigger breakfast or lunch. Your brothers are still sleeping, so let’s be quiet”
“Thank you so much for bringing us on this cruise and being so supportive like you are.” Riley said
“You are welcome, and you deserve it. You have come a long way from who you were when I first met you. You work hard in the summer for the campground and helping your dad at the store too. It does not go unnoticed” I said
“Yeah I was a real ass back when I was 12, I was just mad at the whole world and had no clue why. Then when they changed my meds it made me so much more bearable. Honestly wearing diapers makes life more bearable too. I will never admit it to anybody else, but I do actually look forward to coming home and getting diapered up some days after school, and hate having to get out of them when I have to go to school. That weekend that we went to Chicago, it was torture not to wear other than to bed.” He said
“Oh I remember that feeling. I wanted nothing more than to get home and get ready for bed and get padded up. I know it looks like I have everything I could ever need, but there were times when I did not know where I would sleep most nights. I was kicked out of the house at 18, surfed between one couch to another, had roommates who would just use me and leave me holding the bag. ” I said
“That’s rough man, but I am happy that you got to where you are now and that we know each other” Riley said
“I am so happy that I met Max on the cruise and am part of you all’s family too” I said
By this time there was some stirring coming from David and Riley’s bedroom, soon after David emerged to which I signaled that Max was still sleeping. He sat down and grabbed a pastry and some chocolate milk.
Finally around 9:30 the master bedroom door opened and Max emerged.
“Well look who decided to get out of bed” I said
“Freaking day is half over, lazy” David said
“I’m on vacation!, nothing to do but do nothing” He said. “Lemme get a cup of coffee and a danish and we can get ready for a bigger breakfast downstairs in the dining room. Why don’t one of you go get showered and dressed and then the other one follow.”
Riley decided he was done eating and headed into the bathroom and started the shower, and as soon as he was done and out of there, David followed him. When David went into the bathroom, I was told it was my turn to get in the shower too. I retreated to the bedroom where I stripped off my diaper and clothes and hopped in the shower. When I came out Max was waiting for me with the changing pad on the bed and a diaper and outfit already laid out.
“Ok let’s get you dressed” He said as he patted the changing mat and I laid down.
Soon enough I was diapered and dressed and sent out to the living room while Max got dressed.
“Ok, everybody got their card, phone, camera or whatever else you need?” Max said as he emerged. We all did and then headed out the door.
“Ok are we doing dining room, or buffet?” I asked
“Buffet” Both boys responded, so we headed to the buffet.
We sat down and from across the way David sees Tyler and James and waves to them, and they wave back and head to another part of the seating area, probably to sit with their parents.
We finished our breakfast of eggs, bacon, waffles, and juice and then headed out to the rest of the ship. We walked around for probably an hour, sipping on our drinks and seeing all there was to do. The teens wanted to see the Flow Rider, though neither wanted to go on it, they just wanted to see people fall down. We played some mini golf, watched people do the rock-climbing wall. This was a sea day so the boat was packed. We snacked a bit from the buffet for lunch, and that held us for a bit
We caught a comedy show in the afternoon, played bingo and listened to the band in the atrium and grabbed a slice of pizza.
We had the same dinner time as the night before, and were sat with Susan and Kyle and their kids again. Kyle and Max made small talk, as did the kids. Susan was kinda quiet but finally said something.
“So as I was packing stuff into the boy’s bag today I found 2 diapers in there. They claim that they both asked for them to try later, which I have no clue why they would like to try them, but whatever. I just don’t want them using them when we get home, so try them and get it out of your system, and I don’t want to know about it.” She said obviously embarrassing the boys, which I think was her goal.
My guess was that they had already got talked to earlier this morning which is why they did not say anything earlier at the breakfast buffet when we saw them.
Both boys were thoroughly embarrassed, and wanted to just disappear, and they did shortly after dinner. Riley and David sat there until we were done, and then asked to go look for Tyler and James.
Max and I said our good-byes and hit the LGBTQ+ club so as to get away from Kyle and Susan.
“Guess that is what a non-supportive parent looks like, probably the kind to throw a kid out for being gay” I said
“I give the benefit of the doubt to her, I mean it’s not every day you hear of your teen wanting to try on a diaper.” Max said
“Yeah, but in the dining room around strangers is not the place to air that out. It is stuff like that, that makes a kid never want to confide in their parents again.” I rebutted
“You may be right, but who are we to judge?” Max said
Meanwhile Riley and David were looking in the pizza place, and various other places around the ship, finally they found them in a dark corner of the 4th deck sitting at a table.
“Can we join you?” David
“Yeah I guess.” James said
“Hey sorry that you two got in trouble with your parents when they found those diapers, hope they weren’t too mad.” Riley said
“Mom was kinda pissed, but dad didn’t care. I’m mad she said anything to you all and was talking about it in the dining room, that was so embarrassing!” Tyler said
“She did let us keep them, but I’ll be damned if I let her know I’m wearing one, probably stuff it away in my suitcase; not going to give her the satisfaction of embarrassing me again like she did” James said obviously pissed off
“Thank god it was just plain white ones, imagine if you had taken one of the printed ones” David said
“Oh shit she would have went totally batshit crazy!” Tyler said laughing. “Let’s just put it, our mom is more interested in her career and being popular in her stuck up bitch club than anything to do with us. Dad is about the only one who cares”
“Yeah, If she’s not running to a meeting on one coast or the other, or chairing some committee”, James said
“Sounds like a hot mess. Our dad owns a grocery store, and mom works at the store. We have 2 other older brothers besides Max, and a little sister. Our parents are involved in about everything to do with us. Now it is just us and our little sister. Max and Jason live like 2 hours away, Mike moved out and got married and lives 30 minutes away, and Josh went off to college out west”
“Your family sounds fun” Tyler said
“Yeah, in the summer we pretty much are either working at the store, or at the campground Max and Jason own. We ride 4-wheelers, go hunting, camping. It is never boring” Riley said
“Wanna go to the comedy show?” David said
“Sure” James said as the made their way to the theatre.
After the show they ended up at the pizza and ice cream place for a late night bite. With the time quickly closing in on 11:00, and the capacity of their diapers nearing capacity, Riley and David parted ways with Tyler and James and headed back to the suite.
The boys walked into an empty suite, as we were still out at the club.
“Ok, well I want to get a shower before bed. Then probably watch some TV or read.” Riley said
“Ok, well I will take one in the morning, I’m tired and need changed. Probably going to see who’s online and send a message to Will” David said.
Riley went to the bathroom and David to the bedroom. They both emerged about the same time. David went to the living room while Riley went to get dressed in the bedroom before returning to the living room and sitting on the sofa. Eventually they started dozing off to the drone of the TV.
When Max and I arrived back from the club around 2 am we found 2 sleeping teenagers on the sofa. I had had a little to drink and was not in any shape to be of any help.
“Go into the bedroom and wait for me on the bed, I’ll take care of these two” Max told me.
I did as I was told, at least I am an obedient drunk. I sat the changing pad on the bed and sat on it. Which turned into laying down and passing out.
In the living room Max was rousing the two sleeping teens. “Hey, gotta get up and go to your bedroom” he said as he shook David before shaking Riley. Eventually he got them both to move along and followed them to the bedroom where they climbed into their beds and he zipped them into the crib enclosures and turned out the light.
He turned off the living room lights, and TV before heading into our dimly lit bedroom to find me snoring away. He made quick work of undressing me, changing my diaper and tucking me into bed.
