I had about 150 miles to leave California and get to Oregon, that was 4 hours of driving. The nice thing about an RV is when I get tired, I can just pull into a truck stop and relax until traffic slows down. I stopped about halfway there for about 4 hours and then continued. I decided to sleep for the night at a truck stop just inside Oregon. The next morning I went inside to eat and then hit the road. I spent a couple days in Portland, then headed onward and eastward.
I went up into Washington state across to Spokane Washington and towards Glacier National park. Luckily before I left California I had booked a spot at the national park as it was just into the busy season and the campgrounds were very busy. I was lucky to have gotten a place. I had allowed myself about 14 days to get there, as I knew that I had wanted to stop in Portland for a few days and then Glacier National Park for a few and then from there to Yellowstone.
One night after returning from dinner on the scooter I almost laid it down. I decided that it was imperative to get an actual vehicle after having a late night (almost literal) run in with a deer. It had me so scared I wet and messed myself. Yeah I have to get a better mode of transport when I don’t have the RV.
I was driving through the backroads on my way to a campground I planned to stay a couple days in and catch up on editing and relax, get my mail, some packages, and get supplies . I had been looking online as to what vehicle would be best.
I wanted something that could be flat towed, and didn’t require disconnecting the battery and crap. It looked like the Fiat 500 was a good car for this. It just so happened that I was stopped at a red light, and there she sat. A 2013 Fiat 500 in bright yellow paint, with the sticker of $7495.
I wheeled and dealed and traded in the scooter and walked out of there only paying $4000 after tax. I let the guy think I was going to finance it at his crazy APR of 10.9%. Right as I got a signed deal, but before I signed for the financing, I whipped out the gold Amex and paid it.
“You’re not financing it?” He asked, looking scared that he was not going to make the kickback that he thought.
“No I think my Amex has enough limit, I hope.” I said as I handed it over.
He tried to backpedal and get some extra options like scratch and dent protection, window etching, etc… to which I declined it all.
I swear I never bought a vehicle that quick and painless in my life. I had my attorney overnight the title for the scooter, and I got the towing stuff ordered and an appointment to get it installed two days from then. I paid them an extra $150 just to deliver it to the campground that I was staying at.
I spent the next two days driving the Fiat all around in a 50 mile radius stocking up on supplies, doing laundry, shooting video and photos.
Remember George the tire guy from Texas? Well turns out TxTireGuy is also Tx Tire ABDL. I knew when his dad mentioned that he had caught George in a diaper in the day once, that it was more than a one-time thing. I am betting that George was wearing way more than that and his parents either just never flat out caught him or never put 2 and 2 together. We had been chatting back and forth a for a few days. Seems Georgie had also faked the bedwetting for many years after he no longer needed them too.
I said that we would have to meet up again some day, but honestly I didn’t know when or really if that would happen.
I finally got the tow bar for the Fiat and got it all hooked up and was ready to head out. I had sent the title off to my Attorney who registered the car in Ohio and was to mail the plates back via Overnight to me at my next stop at Glacier. I had told him to get something like Minion related. I ended up with vanity plates “Bee-Do”. I had an idea for the back window of this car too….. I was able to find somebody who would print me up a minion face with goggles; so now everybody who followed me saw a minion .
I only stayed at Glacier National Park for 4 days as I was having a hard time finding a campground that had room. One had space one night, and the other I found only had a small space which my RV barely fit, and it didn’t have hookups. The car made it nice because I could get way more done during the day and into the night by having it.
I puttered around heading towards Yellowstone. I stopped off in Helena Montana, then Bozeman and then Livingston.
I was 3 days early, so I stayed in a little town called Gardiner Montana. I had to call around to a lot of places just to find this campground. Good thing I was self contained, meaning that I have a generator for power, I had my onboard water and sewer tanks too. The first night I basically stayed in the parking lot, the other two nights I had a site with hookups.
I’m glad I had the car. It helped when I was camping and didn’t want to drive the RV into places. The trip from Gardiner into the park was maybe 25 miles, but it took an hour to get there because of all the switchbacks and such. I would head out in the morning and return by the evening just in time to feed the cat and get dinner.
Eventually I was able to get a spot inside the park, so I was able to venture out and get some wonderful time lapse sunrises, and sunsets from all sorts of places in the park.
Yellowstone was great, I saw Old Faithful erupt, and so much more wildlife. I had planned to stay there for 10 days in total and I still could have stayed more. I wore my cute toddler clothes to everywhere and people would take a second glance and smile at me.
The last day I decided that I needed to get my tanks dumped, fill up on fuels, and get some internet and cell access; so I headed into West Yellowstone MT. I got my tanks dumped, then headed to the post office to get my amazon packages, I had some packages shipped to a local FedEx too (diapers).
By the looks of my clean clothing supply, I better get laundry done too. The way I handled dirty laundry was to throw it into laundry bags as it got dirty. I would take it from plastic totes in the closet clean. So when I ran out of clean clothes I would just drag out the fold up wagon from the underside of the coach and load my bags and totes into the wagon and go to the laundromat. I figured that a Thursday afternoon would be a slow night at the laundromat, Nope! this place was busy.
Here I walk in with a pair of basketball shorts on and a t-shirt that wasn’t totally long enough, I had run out of onsies and normal pants. I start loading my clothes into the washers, separating them as I go. All my cute print onsies, and shortalls with an assortment of dinos, fire engines, teddy bears, race cars, beach balls, cute sayings and more on. As I am working my shorts kept slipping down and showing off my diaper, not that the shorts were going to hide it anyways.
People are shooting me strange looks as I load all these toddler looking clothes into the machines. This kid about 10 walks up to me “Hi, I’m Josh, your diaper is showing. I like your clothes”
“Oh sorry about that, thank you though” I said pulling my shorts back up.
“Why do you got diapers on?”
Good question kid… I think most adults that may have noticed probably thought I was special needs or something and needed them, nobody ever asked why.
“Well buddy, I just wear them and I am not ashamed that I wear them either” I said
“Oh, I wear pullups at night cause I pee the bed” Josh said
“Well I hope someday that you won’t need them anymore”
“I do too, but I don’t mind if I always have to wear them” He said
“Josh, quit bothering that guy. Hi I’m Luke, Josh just likes to talk to people”
“Perfectly ok, I travel alone so the only interaction I get is strangers and my cat
“Why do you travel alone?” Luke asked
“Well I always dreamed of traveling around in an RV and seeing the country, and things happened and I am able to do just that. I left home right after memorial day weekend and have been on the road since.
“Over the road trucker here, Josh is just along for the summer. This is my visitation time. Thought I would take a week off to see the park. Borrowed a buddy’s trailer and we headed up here.”
“Are you enjoying it so far?” I asked
“Yeah, but it’s coming to an end, gonna have to get back on the road in a few days.” Luke said noticing my laundry. “You got kids too?”
“Nope just me and the cat”
“Then that’s a unique wardrobe.” Luke said
“Yeah, I am one of those people you hear about that dress as toddlers and wear diapers” I said wanting to keep it honest.
“I see, yeah I’ve met some truckers that are into that, whatever floats their boat. I see you must wear diapers often.”
“Yes I wear 24/7, it was my choice when I set out on this trip. Best choice ever.”
“So you don’t actually need to wear a diaper, you just want to?” To which I nodded my head yes.
“Josh wets the bed at night. He would stay in his goodnites all day if I let him, I usually have to tell him when he gets up to get changed.”
“Yeah he told me. I wet too until I was like 15, then I just kept on wearing”
“I know we’re strangers, but if you’re interested, we are going to go to the pizza place across the way when we are done here, if you want to join us?”
“Yeah sure, it gets lonely in the RV with just the cat. I got to dry still but I should be done in and hour. I just have to fold and then store them back in the RV. I’m gonna drop the RV off at the RV park and then I will meet ya there” I said
“Yeah, mine should be done in about 30 minutes. Then Josh wants to call his mom. So an hour should be good. So where ya from?” Luke asked
“I’m from a little town in ohio. Just doing a fun trip because I can. I’m eventually headed back home. Been out to the Grand Canyon via Route 66, clear to the Santa Monica pier when the route ends, then up the PCH, got the hell out of California when some homeless guy tried to break into it, went to portland, Seattle, Spokane, then over to glacier national park, then here to Yellowstone. I stayed in Gardner for a few days, then camped inside the park for the last 10 days. I’m staying here in town tonight , then I’m heading out tomorrow, gonna hit the Grand Tetons, swing over to Mount Rushmore then down to Colorado to visit the rockies then head home.”
“Holy cow that’s a lot of traveling, what about 10 thousand miles”
“Getting close to that. I know I have had 2 oil changes on the road so far. More tanks of gas and propane that I can count” I said as I got finished folding and packing my totes and put them back into the wagon.
“Just wondering, and tell me if I am out of line…. Bet you haven’t had to empty the black tank have ya” Luke asked, inquiring if I ever used the toilet.
“Yeah a many times, not as much as I would have not wearing diapers. Not to be gross, but messing a diaper isn’t all that fun. Sure the feeling is nice, but the cleanup stinks literally. If I can help it, it try to use the bathroom for taking a shit” I said
“Well I am going to get my stuff in my truck and let Josh call his mom, meet ya there about 7:30, OK” Luke said
“Awesome, see ya there” I said as I wheeled my red wagon out of the laundromat and to my RV. I quickly put the totes where they belonged, got my diaper changed, and got into a relatively normal looking outfit. As I didn’t want to go too overboard.
I had plugged in the RV, started the AC and I hopped in the minion mobile and headed over to the pizza place and found Luke and Josh.
It was fun to have dinner with somebody else and we made further small talk. Luke is out of Kentucky, while Josh and his mom live in Indiana. Luke does not get to see Josh all that much so he takes him all summer. Most of the time they just ride around in the semi while Luke works.
“So how does somebody your age afford to be traveling all this time in a nice RV?” Luke asked
Oh boy, gotta be careful here…. I try not to let on that I have money, which to do so requires lying
“I came into some money when I turned 25, stocks, savings bonds and saved up a ton of money 10 years working. The pizza parlor I worked in is slow this time of year, so I ‘quit slash got laid off’ for the summer months and thought no time like now. I took out a loan on the RV, probably gonna sell it when I get back home” I said, hoping that would work. I think it did.
I told him to follow me on YouTube and gave him my general email address and I picked up the tab. I drove back to the RV. That night it was still quite warm, so I got down to just a onsie and diapered up nice and thick.
That night I had a dream about that day when I came out to my parents. My dad told me that I was no longer part of the family and that he was disowning me. He shoved me and told me I had 30 minutes to grab my shit and get the fuck out of his house and NEVER come back. He called me a faggot, said he hoped I got AIDS and other nasty stuff. I woke up in a sweat, and a sodden diaper… the latter had not happened for years. I looked over at my phone and it said 3:30 am. I sat awake in the dark for a bit trying to forget that day.
At about 4:30 am I decided to get some coffee and work on some editing and computer work. I grabbed my camera bag, firearm and found a nice vista point to shoot one last sunrise. I then headed back to the RV, made an iced coffee and some eggs and bacon, fed the cat and then hopped back on the road. I travelled from Yellowstone and into Grand Tetons, which took several hours.
The Grand Tetons were wonderful as well. I found another nice campground to stay at in the national park for a night. I finished my latest vlog with some wonderful slides. I took the time to chat with my mom via text. I got an update from my assistant, checked my mail that he had scanned onto the cloud drive.
I sent a message to another ABDL I knew from online by the name of Jakey to see if he still wanted to meet up the next day, he did. Even though he was 15 years older than I was, The next day was a blast. We rode 4-wheelers, fished for a little bit and just sat and watched wildlife as the sun went down in just our onsies.
I got on the subject about my parents and me coming out and told him what all happened.
“Seriously he said that to you? Jake asked
“Yep”, I said
“Well yeah, I’d never see them again. Disowning goes both ways ya know” Jake said as he took a sip of his soda.
“I know that he can’t take back the things that he said and did, but I am willing to allow him to try, but it won’t ever be the same.”
“So how did a pizza delivery guy ever afford all this” Jake said pointing to the RV.
“Let’s just say I come into some money. Enough I could quit my job and get a good deal on the RV, plus I make money doing the YouTube videos and such” I replied, never letting on how much money I came into. Nobody needs to ever know that.
“This is a nice piece of land you have here too. I could wake up in a location like this every day and never get bored.” I said
“Yeah it is quite some place, I love it out here.” Jake said
“So how’d you end up here?” I asked wondering how he could afford this plot of land.
“Well you know the pizza place in town; I started that with my ex. It was literally just a shack barely big enough for the pizza oven, a freezer and cooler. We actually got an old freezer trailer and had it parked out back. It was the first new restaurant in 45 miles. Soon we were so busy that we had to expand and build a bigger place. We took the profits and bought more land, built more shops… the whole ‘build it they will come’ thing. “
“So you basically own the town?” I asked
“I own a good portion of the new buildings. We built the places and helped the business owners get setup, then they pay us back for the investment.” He went on “My Ex had been sick and knew it, he was 10 years older than me. He knew when we expanded the pizza place and built the other shops that time was not on his side. We built this place right before he got really sick, we got married 6 months before he passed and we had the best 6 months. Every morning we’d wake up with each other, I’d help him up to the porch and we’d watch the sunrise while drinking coffee.”
“I got a question, how do you survive in cowboy country and be gay?” I asked
“Trust me there’s more gay cowboys that you can shake a stick at; they just won’t admit it. When I first moved up here I was so afraid of being beat to death just for being me. It helps that I am not afraid to get dirty and be outdoors. I can hang with the men.” Jake said “So you see, I have a manager who runs the pizza place and I collect the rents, sometimes I tend bar or wait tables at the pizza place. You should think about staying for a few days, it’d be fun”
“While that sounds great, I have more stops to make and still have a home in ohio still. Maybe in a year or so after things settle down and get back to normal” I said, knowing that a place like this was on the list somewhat, but I could not let on that I had the money to likely buy a plot of land and build a house with cash.
We hung out into the night, at about 2 am I stated that I needed to head to bed. Jake had tried to talk me into staying in his house, but I was adamant about going to my own bed. This was something I always did anytime I met somebody.
I got to bed about 3 am after I did a walk around of the RV to be sure that everything was secured. I got in and turned on my alarm system and went to bed.
I woke up the next morning to a text and knock on the door “Hey buddy, the sun is going to be up soon, want to watch it. I got coffee going”. I threw on a pair of shorts and grabbed the camera, tripod and a flashlight. I got a couple of great shots of the sun coming up over the edge of the horizon reflecting off the lake.
“Beautiful isn’t it?” Jake asked
“It sure is, don’t worry, I won’t give away the location of any photos or videos” I said
“Thank you, I would rather not have people nosing around” Jake said
I made some breakfast burritos for us both and then made another once-around the RV to check for the compartments being latched up, car secured and ready to be towed.
