Ch. 5 – So We’ve Come…. To the end of the road – Someone knockin on the door, somebody ringing the bell….

After being gone for almost 1.5 months, I had finally made it to the end of the Route.  I took a photo and shot some video at the Santa Monica Pier, got my route 66 passport stamped then headed up the pacific coast.

I wasn’t ready to head home yet, far from it.  I had mapped out some other destinations that I wanted to see. I really wanted to take my time, I had several video posts I had scheduled out, I was now premiering about a week or more in the past, as I had some followers who had found me once based on my route trajectory.

I had made it as far as California and trust me I seen all I needed to see there.  Just pure filth and crime.  I had some homeless guy try to break into my RV one night while I was at a state park.

I was sitting on the sofa with all the shades drawn, so it looks like the whole RV is dark from the outside.  I was just working on editing and writing a blog post when I got a chime from the security system that the motion detectors picked up something.  I clicked over to the security system hoping to see like a dog or cat or maybe even a wild animal.  Nope just the indigenous Californian homeless bum.  Soon thereafter I hear the lock on the side door being messed with.  I reached into the bureau drawer and punch in the code and my handgun safe pops open.  I quickly load the clip and rack one in the chamber.  I also grab the baseball bat and hit the silent panic button so the police are on their way.  I put my handgun in my back waistband just incase it becomes necessary for deadly force.

By now the person is really fiddling with the door and it sounded like they were using some sort of tool to get it open.  I wait until they are close to the door and quickly unlatch it and knock them in the head.  I then swung the bat connecting with their back and then again in the kneecap… they were down.  I hear the police cars and see the lights.  I quickly retreat into the RV and secure my handgun as it is illegal in Commie-fornia to have a CCW.

The police arrive and call the guy a medic as I probably broke his kneecap.

“Do you think it was necessary to beat him with a baseball bat” The officer asked

“He’s lucky I only hit him twice with the bat and once with the door, he was breaking into MY HOME!” I said as I raised my voice.

They asked me some more questions, which I told them any more and I would need to get my attorney on speakerphone.  They wanted to know who’s RV it was, and why it was not in my name.

“It belongs to a blind trust, I have a trust to keep my Identity hidden” to which I provided the notarized documentation that I was the controller of the trust.

“What like you won the lottery” The office asked

“Yeah something like that, maybe.  Nothing illegal, just none of anybody’s business”

I emailed them a link to see the 360 degree security footage showing him sneaking up trying the front cab doors and then the side door, him pulling hard on the door and then trying to use a pry bar to get it open.

“I had planned to stay for a week initially, but I will be gone after breakfast in the morning, seen all I need to see to know that this state is a literal shit show”

“Yeah, we can only do what we can do.  We’ve arrested this guy at least 5 times for breaking and entering and theft and the courts keep letting him out.  He’ll have a pretty good limp now… his knee is all jacked up.  That’s what he gets”

True to my word, the first light of morning I got breakfast, unplugged the RV, put my awning in and did a walk around and was on my way out of there.

I decided that I hadn’t checked in and it was time to text my mom.

Hey mom, just leaving California
Probably gonna head up thru Portland Oregon,

then Yellowstone, then rockies
then back home
I call later,
Good story for you later

OK
Drive safe
don’t forget 2 call

Ch. 4 – Arizona…. Hey won’t ya go my way

After traveling down the mother road for almost 4 weeks now I made it to the small town of Williams Arizona at about 6 pm, found my campground for the night, got stuff set up and got the scooter off the RV and took a ride around town.  I got a nice steak dinner at a place called Rod’s and made note of the laundromat next door and where I could park the RV.

The next morning, I got up, got breakfast and got ready for the day.  I had booked a deluxe ticket on the train ride up to the Grand Canyon.  It looked amazing! I knew that I had to come back the next day, as the train was set to leave before I really had a chance to explore everything in the 2 hours that we had.  On the way back to Williams we got robbed on the train, which we all played along with. I took the time to see if I would be able to park the RV at least or better yet, camp up there.  I was not able to be able to camp in the Grand Canyon village, but it was a mile from there and I could ride the scooter up to the village.

I needed to get laundry done that night if possible.  I asked my car attendant if they had a taxi or Uber type service in town.  He gave me the number of a taxi service.  I texted them and asked if they could pick me up a bit later and take me to the laundromat.  This was better than unhooking the RV, driving it into town and trying to park it and then go back and hook up again.

Sunday night must be the night for laundry for the whole town because that place was packed.  I separated my clothes into lights and darks and tossed in a laundry pod as people couldn’t help but notice the obvious juvenile looking clothes I was loading into the machines.  I found an empty area and waddled my padded ass over there and sat down in a seat and got on the iPad and checked my email and messages.  I texted my mom.  I had been letting her know in more realtime about where I was at after the whole stranded in Texas incident.

Hey mom, just checking in…
went to Grand Canyon today,
probably going back tomorrow.

That’s nice, hope you had a great time.
I remember we went years ago when you were still in diapers
.

LOL. I still am in diapers

You know what I meant….  Stay safe, call sometime.

Will do, love you too

I got my clothes from the washer and into the dryer and finished checking my online accounts as well.  I ordered a pizza to be delivered to the RV when I got back there.  I ate while while watching TV and folding the clothes back up and storing them.

I decided to sleep in that next morning since I was up so early yesterday and I had to move the RV to the new place.  At about 10 am I had to finally get out of bed or risk leaking onto the sheets, which I had just washed.  I got up, changed out of my sodden diaper and hopped into the shower despite that jerk Zorro meowing loudly because I had not fed him yet.  As soon as I stepped out of the shower. MEOW!! Meow, meow.  “You are going to have to wait for a few” I said as I grabbed a fresh diaper, onsie and some shorts.  After getting diapered up I fed his excellency so he would leave me alone while I made my breakfast and ate it.  The video I started to upload last night had finished and I set the date and time for it to go public 4 days from now.  I noticed that I had a comment from “TxTireGuy”  How those tires holding up?  To which I replied that they were good.

It was about 1PM that I got everything packed up, did my walk around and pulled out of my spot to make the hour trip up towards the Grand Canyon village.  I pulled into the campground and got my RV setup and plugged in so I could leave the AC running for Zorro.  I got the scooter off the back of the RV and headed out.

I drove all around the Grand Canyon, taking photos, and videos.  As the light of the evening started to dim, to a sunset I shot several more photos and some timelapse and then I headed back to the campground.  I fed the cat, got my little grill setup and grilled some brats.

I got up early the next morning to get into the park at a different vantage point and get the sunrise as it came up and blanketed the canyon with light.  That was a cool morning, as I had waited in a lawn chair while every 30 seconds, I could hear my camera beep that it took another frame of video.  After almost 2 hours I had what I needed and headed back to the RV Park to get changed and get some breakfast too.

This last little trip reminded me that the scooter is not the most opportune vehicle when it is cold and rainy, plus I am traveling to some places that I could encounter wildlife.  Plus, ever try to balance a bag chair, and backpack of camera gear.  I’ll be on the lookout for something.

I stayed that day and night near the grand canyon, just riding around the park, vlogging and stuff.  The next morning I would head out westward.  I stopped off in a town called Seligman, and just so happened to stop and get a haircut and grab a bite to eat.  Next stop Kingman AZ, for a railroad museum and the Arizona Route 66 Visitors center before heading to a campground for the night.

Since it was the weekend of the 4th of July (actually July 4 was Monday)  I stayed in Kingman for a nice fireworks show, even hit up the neighboring towns to see their fireworks.

I decided to explore and blog some more around the area for the next week. Went to Oatman and did a blog on the burros, pieced together some more grand canyon stuff so I had a filler to stretch out more footage in the grand canyon; as I did not want to upload any stuff past the Grand Canyon until I was out of the area.

Ch. 3 – Well this sucks….

I was driving along on the back highways that go between Texas, to New Mexico and the whole back end started shaking, probably the road surface.. then I start hearing a kuh-thunk kuh thunk and it really started shaking… I find a place to pull over, as I was likely going to be there awhile too.

“Just F-ing great” I thought.  I hopped out and one of my rear inner tires is just shredded.  I grabbed my phone…. “Even better” I yelled as I see ‘NO SERVICE’, not even a ‘emergency calls only’.  “Well this sucks, stuck out in the middle of nowhere, no cell service.” I sat there for an hour and no cars passed by, soon it would be sundown and this is not a safe location.  I just prayed that somebody would pass by.  I had put reflectors out about 500 feet back.  I mean I could stay here for the night, but didn’t want to.

Then I remembered that I had a GPS that had satellite communicator, I thought it was silly for my attorney to suggest it, but I bought it just the same.  I dug it out of my hiking gear and it turned on.  I figured an SOS was what I needed so I composed one.

SOS, My vehicle has broke down,
inside dual tire flat, no cell signal,
no cars in last hour.
In RV send tow truck/assistance.

Then I hit send.  The screen lit up red.  It took about 2 minutes but the device chimed.

SOS RESCUE CENTER are you injured?

NO, just need tow truck/roadside assistance

Help is on the way, may take an hour or more,
will update stay put, reply if situation changes

It took about 2 hours but off in the distance in the direction I came from I saw an amber light bar coming down the road. By then I had ate dinner and fed the cat and had gotten a diaper change.  I had been videoing the ordeal since it started. It took him close to 10 minutes from when I first saw him to arrive… the sky was that clear.    The tow truck slowed down and turned into where I was and turned around.  The driver jumped out of the cab and yelled “Well baby man we meet again”  Just great, the guy from the gas station where I got propane. “What do we have here?”

“The inside tire on the drivers side is shredded.”

“Yep, well best we can do is tow ya back to town to my shop and George can fix it tomorrow.  How in the heck did you get ahold of anybody, cell phone don’t work out here and NOBODY comes down this road I bet?”

“Nope no cell service, and you are the first vehicle I have seen in I think 3 hours.  Luckily I had a hiking GPS with satellite SOS.  Good thing I was prepared.” I said

“You need a CB radio, it’s what ya need.  Is it just you or are there others in there?”

“Just the cat”

“Ok, well get everything turned off in there and closed up because I’m gonna lift it from the back so I can get that wheel off, so mr whiskers might wanna hold on” He said

I went in and put Zorro into his carrier and closed everything up then he lifted up the back of the RV and got out an air gun and had the outer wheel off and then the inner off.  He pulled the mangled tire off and put the rim back on along with the outer tire. He then secured the RV to the tow truck and said “Lets go, hop in.  The cat can go in the back” he pointed to the tow truck

“How far is it to your shop?” I asked wondering how long this ride with bubba would be.

“About 45 minutes away.  My names Rodney”

“Jason” I said as he grabbed his CB Radio

“Dispatch I got the RV, heading back home, please call county dispatch and let them know that we are coming back to my shop, tell George that he has a tire that needs done in the morning.” Rodney said as he hung up the mic.

“Is it ok that I stay in the RV tonight in your lot?” I asked hoping it was going to be OK

“Sure, not a problem, me and the misses live out back of the shop.  I’ll have George get ya fixed first thing in the morning and you’ll be back on the road.  If you need electric there’s a box on the side of the building you can plug into.  We normally use that for the welder, but it’s a good 50 amp connection.”  Rodney said as we drove on into the darkness.

We had been going for a good 30 minutes in silence when he said “So why do you dress that way?”

“I just do, I’m the kid who never grew up” I said sheepishly, not really wanting to get into the whole ABDL thing with somebody who probably does not understand alternate lifestyles

“Looks like you’re the kid that never potty trained either” he said making me blush.  “My boy George was a bedwetter until he was in high school, I know what a diaper under jeans looks like and that walk.  When he was probably 13 or 14 I caught him wearing one of them in the day, not sure why though”

“Yeah well some people find them comfy and comforting” I said, leaving it at that.

By the time we finished that conversation we were pulling into the small town, if you could call it that.  It was the gas station, a small market, and 2 large metal barns with cars around them and a house trailer in the back.  He stopped and backed the truck and my RV onto the lot. He dropped my RV and told me to make sure my brakes were engaged before he unhooked it.  I hopped in and set the parking break and checked my level and I was good.  He told me that George would be in around 8 am and would have it done then.

The next morning I was awake right before 7 am.  I had my coffee brewed and was finishing my eggs when I heard a big pickup truck pull onto the lot.  That must be George,  he hopped out of his truck and walked into the house at the back.  I quickly went to the bedroom and got changed and cleaned up as I was probably going to need to vacate the RV so they could fix the tire.  Sure enough at 8 am George, Rodney and a lady who was probably his wife came out of the house and walked past the RV.  Rodney and George stopped and knocked on the RV door.

“Well good morning.  Hope you slept ok being this close to the road.” Rodney said

“Hi I’m George, We’re gonna start working now on that tire, did you need anything else checked or done?”

“You know check the rest of the tires and if you got time change the oil too, you do take credit card right?” I asked

“Sure do.  Your kitty can stay in the RV, if you want to go over to the gas station/café and wait until it is done, I’ll call ya when we know something” George said

“OK, I said as I put my boots on an walked across the road”

The lady who I assumed was Rodney’s wife greeted me when I came in and asked how my night was.  I ordered a cup of coffee and some toast and bacon, since I was out of bread and bacon in my RV.  About an hour later Rodney came over and sat down across from me, and I knew that I was up for a sales pitch.

While I was waiting at the gas station / truck stop / laundromat / hair care center/post office/you name it!, I found a CB radio that looked like it would fit the bill for me.  I had noticed that the RV had an extra antenna which I assumed was a CB antenna.

“OK, so we checked your other tires, the other 3 on the back should probably be replaced, the other inside one is probably going to go anytime, and the other two don’t have much tread left.  I can get them all replaced after lunch, I’ll have them in stock then.”  He showed me the estimate and I agreed to it.

“Hey that antenna above the drivers side mirror, is that a CB antenna?” I asked.  “I think there is still wiring in the overhead compartment above the drivers seat.”

“I can check on that when I go back over.  If the wires are there it should be pretty easy.  I can take it back over there and get it installed while I am waiting on the tire guy.” Rodney said

I went back to the RV to grab the laptop and worked on some stuff in the café then ordered lunch; baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy and vegetables.   True to his word he had the tires replaced around 3 pm and I was back on the road at 4 pm.  I gave them my business card, and they gave me there’s and I was on my way to New Mexico.

I loved New Mexico.  I stayed in a little town called Tucumcari.  I had only planned for a night or two… I ended up staying for 3 nights.  The first night I ate at a great Mexican restaurant then I spent about an hour checking out the neon on the various buildings.  The next day I definitely had to hit up the dinosaur museum, which I certainly did wearing my dinosaur onsie; never minding the looks I got.  I went to several other museums there as well.  I seriously loved that little town, but I had to keep moving along down the route.

I stopped off at a few more places before I scooted into Arizona.  I stopped at the jack rabbit trading post and then had to take a photo of me Standin’ on the corner in Winslow Arizona, then the wigwam motel in Holbrook, Meteor Crater.

Ch. 2 – The adventure begins.

The first full weekend in June, on the 3rd it all fell into place.  The RV dealer called and said that they had the modifications made to my RV were complete and I was ready to roll as soon as I loaded up the RV.

I had moved everything from my garage several days ago to a warehouse where I could pull the RV into and not be seen.  That weekend I got all the supplies and equipment that I had delivered.  See I had been a closeted Adult Baby for several years, often only being able to indulge in it maybe once a month or so.  No longer would this be the case.

I loaded up several bags of assorted diapers into the bedroom of the RV and packed storage crates for the under carriage. I had bought onsies and other childish clothes for my new life. The pantry and refrigerator were stocked up the next few weeks of traveling, chocked full of all the things a growing young man would need. Chicken nuggets, pizza rolls, hot pockets, soda, juices.

I also had healthy fruits and veggies.  I had reusable water bottles so I didn’t generate the trash of bottled water, nor the weight.

At the direction of my attorney, I needed to hire an assistant.  They had to be somebody not from around here, but not too far away.  They would not know how much money I had.  At the end of the day they would work for the trust.  They were in charge of checking the mail, booking travel, making reservations and such, buying and shipping the things I cannot order online.  Handling things like registering vehicles and more.

I put the ad in the newspaper with a mailbox at the UPS Store 30 miles away.  I looked over the 50 some resume’s that were sent in, until I found the right person.  He was not from around my town, facebook page was clean, no mutual friends or contacts.  I interviewed him and vetted him and hired him.

It was a part time gig and could be done pretty much however they wanted, they just had to check the mail 3 times a week, be available when needed and he would be paid almost as much as a full time employee.

Friday morning, I grabbed my new cell phone, my cat and laptop and loaded them in my car.  Set the security alarm.  My recently hired assistant had his first assignment.  I had my assistant ride with me to the warehouse I had used that weekend.

“Nice RV”

“Yeah, I got it for a great price.  When you return my car back to my house, please lock it in the garage, and put the keys in the safe and lock that too.”

“Got it!” James my assistant said

“Then when you get back to your house, just send that email off for me.  Check the mail twice a week, scan it and call me if it is anything major.  You have John, my attorney’s number as well”

“Yes I do” my assistant said  “Enjoy your trip”

Once I got in the RV and hit the road, I turned off my old cell phone and turned on the new one.  Operation ‘new life’ starts.

My assistant sent me a text an hour later “Email sent”

Dear friends and family,

I am writing you to inform you that I have been keeping a secret for the past 45 days.  I recently was afforded the chance to make a break and start a new chapter in my life. I have made the choice to head out on an adventure. I will return eventually, someday.  I am traveling in my RV that I purchased this past month. I have taken Zorro Cat with me and my house and car are secure.  I will not be responding to emails at this address or my cell phone on this trip.  I have acquired a new private cell number and email account. I have closed all social media accounts so that I cease to exist online.  I have setup a new YouTube account called Adventures with Zoro Cat.

I ask that you do not try to find me, as all videos will be well time delayed and random.  Please know that I will contact those of you that I feel need be contacted in due time.  Please do not ask for details about where I am going next or how I am being supported, but rest assured that it will be sufficient to allow me to be comfortable.

I will call on my old cell number if I wish to maintain contact with you.

I sent a letter to my landlord stating that I would be gone for an extended time and specifying that my assistant would be coming to check the mail.  I let him know his number, my attorney’s number as well and that nobody should be permitted to enter besides those two or himself per my lease.  I had installed doorbell cameras and security cameras.

That first day I stayed about 60 miles away from home just in case something happened with the RV.  I sat there that night on the sofa in my RV watching my phone blink that I had a call that got dropped to voicemail, my email was blowing up too.

I was finally free.  I diapered up that night and put my new baby printed onsie on and covered up and snuggled up to my teddy bear.

The next morning I awoke to Zorro purring next to me.  I got up and made a cup of coffee and sat down to check my email and my old phone.  I had 75 new emails from friends and my mom.  100 texts from people, and my voicemail was full, mostly my mom.

It hurt that I had to make a clean break from all my friends and family, but on the advice of my attorney it is best to not let everybody know you have money as people wanting loans and money come out of the woodwork.

I sat down at my desk and started writing a blog and then recorded a video segment.  I changed my diaper.  Then I hit the open road.  I planned to drive about 300 miles that next day to get to the start of my journey.  I had a list of places I wanted to hit.  First plan was to drive Route 66.  I started in by going through Indianapolis and up to just south of Chicago.  I did not want to start at the beginning of the Route 66, as it begins in downtown Chicago, and I am not about to try to maneuver a 28’ RV in that area.

The first town I stopped off in was Willmington, IL where I stopped to see the Gemini Giant, sadly the restaurant was closed, so I headed down to the Polk-A-Dot drive-in for a bite to eat.

At about this point I was getting a bit tired and wanted to stop for the night so I could get working on the videos and photos for the day.  I found a truck stop right off the interstate and found a place in the back, but well lit. My on-board batteries were well charged up, so I was able to keep from having to fire up the generator.  After getting my daily video edited, I uploaded it to YouTube as a private video; this was what all videos would be set to until I had left the area.

The next morning I woke up and grabbed a bowl of cereal, fed the kitty, got changed and hit the road after filling up at the fuel island.  Then I hit the route again. I stopped off at a couple old gas stations and other landmarks.  I made it to a little town about an hour from St. Louis in a town called Litchfield, IL.  I had a great early dinner at a little diner on the route.  Then I headed up to a campground to setup the RV for the night.  On the way to the campground I passed a drive-in theatre, that might be fun to do.

I had just pulled into campground to see if they were open.  I walked into the office to ask if they were taking overnight campers and if they had spots with hookups.  The guy behind the counter must have thought I was way younger than I was, as he said “You gotta be 21 to be able to camp here, so tell your parents that they need to come out of the RV to register”

“Well I am in luck, I am old enough” I said as I pulled my ID out and my credit card out of my nylon Velcro wallet with Mickey Mouse on it.

“Son you could have fooled me!  You look about 12 or 13, sorry about that” He said

From the doorway to the back office I heard an older woman probably in her 60’s say “Jim, leave the boy alone.  Now don’t pay no mind to him, he’s just grumpy.  We don’t normally see young people with that size of an RV, they usually are wanting to tent camp.”

“Yeah she is nice, glad I could afford it.  Hard work and luck”  I said as I smiled, knowing just how much luck was involved in it.

“Your outfit just looks so young and cute” She said

“Thank you, I am just a little kid at heart” I said as I looked around the store

“Where you heading to?” Jim asked

“Going to do the Route clear out west, then probably head up north and over to the national parks and such in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, south Dakota….. That’s about as much as I have planned at this time” I said, honestly I really did not have much planned, after all I had no time table to get home by.

“Well are you staying just one night or two?” the lady asked

“I think just one night for sure, might be two.  I’m gonna study what is around here, so go ahead and charge me for two and we’ll see what I find in the area.  I have a small motorcycle so I can go out and explore tomorrow during the day.

I had been sending my mom texts daily to let her know I was OK.  We had a codeword of Barney that I used when I was traveling.

Hey Mom, doing ok, Barney and I are safe, will call when I can

After I got setup at the campground I tried to see if I could pack my lawn chair on the scooter, and it was pretty good.  I ended up heading into the drive-in and watching a movie before heading back to the campground for the night.

Good thing I paid for two days, I slept in really late, it was after noon before I rolled out of bed, and after I reserved tickets for the gateway arch that afternoon, it was close to 2 pm when I pulled out.

I was beginning to fall into a routine of things, coffee, email, blog and vlog, feed the cat, change diaper and then go out and explore where I was. I’d shoot videos of my adventures during the day and edit in the evening and upload overnight.

I stopped into the office to let them know I was heading out and checked out.

“Heading out?” Jim said

“Yep gonna dump the tanks, fill up on water and head into St. Louis and do the arch and then move on down the road.” I said

“Well enjoy your trip, and stay safe out there” Jim said

I dumped the waste tanks on the RV and filled up with clean water.

I pretty much decided that I would be in diapers as much as I could.  I was a thin, young, athletic guy.  So when I decided to wear 24/7 and dress in my toddler looking clothes it was still cute looking.  I could easily pass for 13 to 14 years old.

Having an RV, I didn’t really need to make reservations far in advance, as when I got tired, there was always a truck stop, Walmart, home depot or lowes parking lot that you could stop and catch a power nap.  I found if you stopped into the store, and asked nicely if you could park there for a few hours the managers were nice, most of the time.

By the fourth day out on my adventure I started to become less caring about how I dressed.  At first I would just wear jean shorts and a plain white or black onsie with a t-shirt or hoodie on.  By the end of that first week I was wearing whatever suited my fancy.  Dino print onsie and red denim shortalls, you name it.

I entered Missouri and pulled off to the gateway arch where I was able to park for a few hours.  I saw the gateway arch, which I went up in, the old courthouse and more.  About 5:30 I headed out towards my next stop, a RV park near St. Robert MO. The next morning I went up the road to a tourist trap called Uranus. The best fudge comes from Uranus.  They also had an indoor shooting range which I took advantage of too before I headed out down the route.

I got through Carthage Missouri and drove past another nice drive-in but didn’t stop because there was no place to pull off and take a photo…. The owners of the properties have made it impossible to stop.

I continued on down the historic Route 66, which leaving Missouri turned onto a back road, to what looked like a residential neighborhood… the state line into Kansas was nothing more that a wooden sign that said STATE LINE; and just like that I was in Kansas.  I left the residential area going along the narrow 2 lane road (that is being generous).  It was a good thing this RV is light as the rickety bridge over the railroad tracks scared me.

I come up the road into Galena KS where I stopped and did a vlog and photos at a place called Cars on the Route.  Then onto Riverton to Eislers General Store, .  I continued up the road to Baxter springs where I stopped at their visitors center to stretch my legs.  The volunteer basically talked my ears off about being the inspiration for Tow Mater from Cars, whatever.

I had called ahead and got a campsite outside of Baxter Springs for the night.  It was an ok place for the night.  Had electric, I didn’t bother to connect my water and sewer, I just needed power. I woke up the next morning same routine, got some fuel on the way out of town and onward into Oklahoma.

The plan was to get through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and finally into Arizona to the Grand Canyon, where I will camp for a few days or possibly longer.  I figured it should take me almost 2 weeks to get out there.  I can stay for a few nights before finishing the route in Santa Monica California.

Since I had not really ‘setup camp’ the night before I was on the road before 9:00 AM.  I visited the world’s largest Totem Pole and the Blue Whale.  One stop at The Nut House, the Outsiders Museum home.  Visited the Adrmiral Twin Drive-in with it’s new screen – though too early for a movie.

I stopped a few other places, but the afternoon was drawing close and I needed to make it to tonight’s camping spot.

I had waited till about June 15th before I called my mom to talk to her about my disappearance.  I had stopped off in a small town in Oklahoma called Stroud early for the day, I setup my campsite and quickly got to editing the day’s video.  While it rendered, I took the time to call my mom.

I dialed the number and it rang a few times before it was answered. “Hello… Just a moment” I heard as I could tell she was walking out of the room

“Hey mom” I said sheepishly knowing that I was going to get the inquisition of a lifetime

“Hey honey” She said. “Why did you just up and leave like you did, you didn’t even say goodbye to your father and I?” She asked sounding concerned

“I had to make a clean break, I didn’t want to tell one person and have the rumors get around, and it’s not like dad would even care.  He hasn’t talked to me since he threw me out of the house.” I said

“How much did you win, did you win that 250 million jackpot?”

“I won enough that I don’t have to worry about money for a long time, and it is nobody’s concern how much it was.  Let’s just keep it at ‘enough to be happy’ ” I said

“Ok, that’s fine.  I just want you to be happy.  Where are you at now?  Your last video had you in Illinois going into Missouri?”  She asked

Not wanting to give away my exact location I said  “I am somewhere in Oklahoma, not going to say specifically though, it’s for the best.”

“I saw in that last video you were dressed different.  What’s with the childish clothing?  You look like a big toddler”

“Well you know mom, when I was growing up and wet the bed till I was 15.  Well I really stopped around when I was 12.  I just liked wearing diapers, and knew if I was still wetting them, you and dad would keep buying them.  I only stopped at 15 because I wanted to be able to go on that rafting trip.  I know you found the odd diaper here and there after that and never said anything about them.”

“Yeah I just thought you had stopped and when I found those other diapers I thought that you were still needing them every now and then” My mom said

“Deep inside me, I’m just a big toddler at heart, I enjoy my stuffed animals, dressing in cute outfits as you can see, watching cartoons, coloring and just not being an adult.  I also plan to remain in diapers 24/7 for as long as I want to as well”

“Whatever makes you happy honey.  You do you!” She said

We switched the phone call to a video chat and I showed her around the RV and the cat had to get in the video too.  We talked for probably an hour about what my plan was, that I was staying safe, and that it is important that she not share any information other than what is seen on the videos that are posted to the public.

I cooked over the campfire that night and then sat outside under the stars for a couple hours before going to bed.  This was starting to be a fun trip.  I had been chatting with some other ABDL’s for awhile now and hoped to meet up with a few along the way.

Next day Onward towards Oklahoma City and Texas.

I would just drive for maybe a two hundred miles a day, stopping at quirky spots and places on the road, shooting some video of these places and then stopping for the day, shooting some video in the RV, uploading videos to my YouTube and other video sites.  Always about 3 or more days delayed.

Really nobody said anything about the toddler look, sure I got some looks, raised eyebrows, girls would snicker and such, little kids would stare.  One town in the middle of the Texas panhandle where I stopped to fuel up the RV on diesel and propane, and fill the gas in the motorcycle/scooter.

I had went in to find somebody to fill my propane, and this ‘good ol boy / redneck hick’ looked at me funny and said. “Are you some sort of retard dressing like a little kid” Bubba (that’s what we’ll call him) said

“Nope, this is just the way I dress” I replied back

“Where’s your parents or your group at?”

“Huh!  I am an adult, I’m 25.  I got here on my own” I said

“Well you could have fooled me, I thought you were about 15 and special needs” Bubba said

“Nope just a young adult being myself and traveling the country”

“Well enjoy your trip and be safe, that’s some fatherly advice cause there’s some people who might not be so nice” he said, making me wonder how nice it was to ask if I was retarded.   “Did your pa teach you to defend yo self?”

“Yes very well, expert marksmanship here, and always packing, got it stuffed into my diaper”

He started busting up laughing. “That’s good buddy, just be safe” He said

We parted ways and I headed outside to pull around to get my propane and to my next destination.  Which was not going to be too far.  I had my first breakdown on the road.  Ugh!!

Ch. 1 – I can’t believe I won…. The beginning in 2016

What would you do if you won the lottery, would you buy all the fancy houses and cars. Would you travel the world, donate it all to charity.  Take care of your family, friends, every other person coming out of the wood work.

I never thought that I would have to honestly answer this, let alone live it, but here I am!

Hi Jason here, let me introduce myself.  In February 2016, when I was 26 I hit the lottery jackpot for 250 Million dollars.  I was working at a local pizza shop as an assistant manager at the time.  I didn’t even know I won until the 3 days later.  I had bought my ticket at the gas station and put it in my sun visor and forgot about  it until I had went into the gas station to get some monster drinks and heard that they sold the ticket.  I wrote the numbers down and put them in my visor clip to check later.

At the end of my shift I checked my ticket and found I won.  I immediately locked the ticket in my glove box and kept my mouth shut.  When I got home I locked it in the fire safe.  I really could not sleep that night. I tossed and turned, then woke up for a bit and checked the internet on my iPad about what to do.  I was so worried about all the things you see on tv shows about people winning and loosing everything and their lives being worse than before.

“What the hell.  This totally cannot be real.  What the hell am I going to do?  It’s not like I can just wake up and call work and say ‘hey I just won 250 million, I quit’.  I’ll have to play it cool, I have to keep this quiet… I’ve seen what happens when everybody knows you won the lottery, they come out of the woodwork looking for money, got a business idea, scammed, and more.  That is not going to happen”

The next day I put the ticket in an envelope and took it to the bank where I got a safe deposit box.  I put some other stuff in there like my passport I got when I went to Canada 3 years ago.  I wanted it in a safe place until I got my shit together about this.

It was so damn hard to work that week and not just run to the lottery office and cash that thing in.  I spent days writing out what I needed to do.  I wanted to be anonymous in claiming the winnings, I wanted nobody to know it was me, nobody.

I needed to get professionals involved.  It would need to be somebody not local, because these people around here gossip.  Shit there was already tons of gossip going around who bought the winning ticket.  It was the only winning one sold nationwide.  Freaking news was crawling all over the place.

The next week was a whirlwind.  I had found a lawyer about 2 hours away to setup a blind trust, the trust claimed the ticket and I had access to a bank account with a little over 12 million in it and another 50 million in a high interest account, the rest of it was in various stocks and bonds, all smattered over the place.

I stressed over and over that I wanted nobody to know I had won; I had seen too many of those documentaries about past winners, this was not going to be me.

I hadn’t lived at home since I was 18.  My dad threw me out of the house on my 18th birthday when I told them that I was gay, but wasn’t involved with anybody at that time.  My mom idly sat by while my dad assaulted me and threw me out of the house. She called me a few days later to see that I had found a place to stay and wasn’t living in my car.  She keeps in touch, but there is a distance between us now.  I would not be telling them anything about my winnings for a very long time.

So I was not under anybody’s rules. With more money than I will ever know what to do with, there were so many things I could do.  I had to be smart about this though, can’t draw attention to myself thought.

I setup an automatic payment of my rent each month until I decided what I wanted to do.  I liked my place, It was a 2 bedroom house outside of town. It took me about 3 years of living in dumps before I found this place, now it was just me and my cat, my roommate moved out when he lost his job, leaving me holding the whole rent.  I started by making a double rent payment to get ahead on my rent.

I knew what I wanted to do with the money, and it was not to blow it all on the stupid things that you see other people do.  I wasn’t going to buy expensive cars, huge mansions, big shopping sprees (well maybe).  I never wanted to work again if I didn’t want to.  I certainly never wanted to be homeless and never to have to answer to somebody else. I wanted to travel at my own pace, not needing to be on a schedule to get home or anything.

I knew my parents, family and friends would soon find out about the winnings. For the time being, I am going to do whatever I could to keep it quiet.  I would have to be able to keep my money quiet to others as well as things could be bad if I didn’t.

I told my mom that I had won a $2,000 on a scratcher and was going on a little trip for a week.  I flew to Florida and spent a week at Disney and had the time of my life.

While I was gone, my attorney was busy carrying out my next steps, to setup investments, and such.  I needed a new cellphone number, setup credit card accounts and bank accounts.

When I came back I lounged around the house a couple of days, I had all but quit my job.  I wanted to still work 16 hours a week just for now, I dropped back to working part time doing deliveries.

I went out shopping for an RV, as it had been my dream to see the world.  I found a used one that suited most of my needs and then I had them customize the stuff I wanted.  I wanted something small enough to be able to go wherever I wanted to, but not so small that I was cramped in.  I wanted something that could be spacious with the slides out, but that I could still move around in if I could not put the slides out.  It would take them 2 weeks to get it all prepped, so I had to play it cool until then; while my inner thoughts were “I don’t need this (job, drama, etc)… I got more money than what I knew to do with”.

For the next week I kept the FedEx driver busy.  It got to the point that I could not get my car in the garage, as I had been having fedex just stack all the stuff in my garage.  I would just tell people that the landlord needed to store stuff in the garage for upcoming renovations.

With the RV included I think I dropped close to 350k those two weeks.  I had asked my landlord if I got licensed contractors if I could upgrade the electric in my garage and concrete the driveway.  He wondered why I wanted to do this, but I had to tell him that I just wanted to make the place better.  After all I had lived there going on 3 years now, never late on rent or gave him any other problems.
I ended up putting asphalt from the road to about 50’ before the garage where it went to concrete and putting a concrete pad next to the garage.  I then had 100 amp electric brought to the garage as well. By the time all my plan was ready to fall into place it had been a little over a 2 months since I had won and I had just kept carrying on like nothing was different.  Friends who came over just thought the landlord was doing the work.  The contractors just knew they got a check from the trust.
