The first full weekend in June, on the 3rd it all fell into place. The RV dealer called and said that they had the modifications made to my RV were complete and I was ready to roll as soon as I loaded up the RV.
I had moved everything from my garage several days ago to a warehouse where I could pull the RV into and not be seen. That weekend I got all the supplies and equipment that I had delivered. See I had been a closeted Adult Baby for several years, often only being able to indulge in it maybe once a month or so. No longer would this be the case.
I loaded up several bags of assorted diapers into the bedroom of the RV and packed storage crates for the under carriage. I had bought onsies and other childish clothes for my new life. The pantry and refrigerator were stocked up the next few weeks of traveling, chocked full of all the things a growing young man would need. Chicken nuggets, pizza rolls, hot pockets, soda, juices.
I also had healthy fruits and veggies. I had reusable water bottles so I didn’t generate the trash of bottled water, nor the weight.
At the direction of my attorney, I needed to hire an assistant. They had to be somebody not from around here, but not too far away. They would not know how much money I had. At the end of the day they would work for the trust. They were in charge of checking the mail, booking travel, making reservations and such, buying and shipping the things I cannot order online. Handling things like registering vehicles and more.
I put the ad in the newspaper with a mailbox at the UPS Store 30 miles away. I looked over the 50 some resume’s that were sent in, until I found the right person. He was not from around my town, facebook page was clean, no mutual friends or contacts. I interviewed him and vetted him and hired him.
It was a part time gig and could be done pretty much however they wanted, they just had to check the mail 3 times a week, be available when needed and he would be paid almost as much as a full time employee.
Friday morning, I grabbed my new cell phone, my cat and laptop and loaded them in my car. Set the security alarm. My recently hired assistant had his first assignment. I had my assistant ride with me to the warehouse I had used that weekend.
“Nice RV”
“Yeah, I got it for a great price. When you return my car back to my house, please lock it in the garage, and put the keys in the safe and lock that too.”
“Got it!” James my assistant said
“Then when you get back to your house, just send that email off for me. Check the mail twice a week, scan it and call me if it is anything major. You have John, my attorney’s number as well”
“Yes I do” my assistant said “Enjoy your trip”
Once I got in the RV and hit the road, I turned off my old cell phone and turned on the new one. Operation ‘new life’ starts.
My assistant sent me a text an hour later “Email sent”
Dear friends and family,
I am writing you to inform you that I have been keeping a secret for the past 45 days. I recently was afforded the chance to make a break and start a new chapter in my life. I have made the choice to head out on an adventure. I will return eventually, someday. I am traveling in my RV that I purchased this past month. I have taken Zorro Cat with me and my house and car are secure. I will not be responding to emails at this address or my cell phone on this trip. I have acquired a new private cell number and email account. I have closed all social media accounts so that I cease to exist online. I have setup a new YouTube account called Adventures with Zoro Cat.
I ask that you do not try to find me, as all videos will be well time delayed and random. Please know that I will contact those of you that I feel need be contacted in due time. Please do not ask for details about where I am going next or how I am being supported, but rest assured that it will be sufficient to allow me to be comfortable.
I will call on my old cell number if I wish to maintain contact with you.
I sent a letter to my landlord stating that I would be gone for an extended time and specifying that my assistant would be coming to check the mail. I let him know his number, my attorney’s number as well and that nobody should be permitted to enter besides those two or himself per my lease. I had installed doorbell cameras and security cameras.
That first day I stayed about 60 miles away from home just in case something happened with the RV. I sat there that night on the sofa in my RV watching my phone blink that I had a call that got dropped to voicemail, my email was blowing up too.
I was finally free. I diapered up that night and put my new baby printed onsie on and covered up and snuggled up to my teddy bear.
The next morning I awoke to Zorro purring next to me. I got up and made a cup of coffee and sat down to check my email and my old phone. I had 75 new emails from friends and my mom. 100 texts from people, and my voicemail was full, mostly my mom.
It hurt that I had to make a clean break from all my friends and family, but on the advice of my attorney it is best to not let everybody know you have money as people wanting loans and money come out of the woodwork.
I sat down at my desk and started writing a blog and then recorded a video segment. I changed my diaper. Then I hit the open road. I planned to drive about 300 miles that next day to get to the start of my journey. I had a list of places I wanted to hit. First plan was to drive Route 66. I started in by going through Indianapolis and up to just south of Chicago. I did not want to start at the beginning of the Route 66, as it begins in downtown Chicago, and I am not about to try to maneuver a 28’ RV in that area.
The first town I stopped off in was Willmington, IL where I stopped to see the Gemini Giant, sadly the restaurant was closed, so I headed down to the Polk-A-Dot drive-in for a bite to eat.
At about this point I was getting a bit tired and wanted to stop for the night so I could get working on the videos and photos for the day. I found a truck stop right off the interstate and found a place in the back, but well lit. My on-board batteries were well charged up, so I was able to keep from having to fire up the generator. After getting my daily video edited, I uploaded it to YouTube as a private video; this was what all videos would be set to until I had left the area.
The next morning I woke up and grabbed a bowl of cereal, fed the kitty, got changed and hit the road after filling up at the fuel island. Then I hit the route again. I stopped off at a couple old gas stations and other landmarks. I made it to a little town about an hour from St. Louis in a town called Litchfield, IL. I had a great early dinner at a little diner on the route. Then I headed up to a campground to setup the RV for the night. On the way to the campground I passed a drive-in theatre, that might be fun to do.
I had just pulled into campground to see if they were open. I walked into the office to ask if they were taking overnight campers and if they had spots with hookups. The guy behind the counter must have thought I was way younger than I was, as he said “You gotta be 21 to be able to camp here, so tell your parents that they need to come out of the RV to register”
“Well I am in luck, I am old enough” I said as I pulled my ID out and my credit card out of my nylon Velcro wallet with Mickey Mouse on it.
“Son you could have fooled me! You look about 12 or 13, sorry about that” He said
From the doorway to the back office I heard an older woman probably in her 60’s say “Jim, leave the boy alone. Now don’t pay no mind to him, he’s just grumpy. We don’t normally see young people with that size of an RV, they usually are wanting to tent camp.”
“Yeah she is nice, glad I could afford it. Hard work and luck” I said as I smiled, knowing just how much luck was involved in it.
“Your outfit just looks so young and cute” She said
“Thank you, I am just a little kid at heart” I said as I looked around the store
“Where you heading to?” Jim asked
“Going to do the Route clear out west, then probably head up north and over to the national parks and such in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, south Dakota….. That’s about as much as I have planned at this time” I said, honestly I really did not have much planned, after all I had no time table to get home by.
“Well are you staying just one night or two?” the lady asked
“I think just one night for sure, might be two. I’m gonna study what is around here, so go ahead and charge me for two and we’ll see what I find in the area. I have a small motorcycle so I can go out and explore tomorrow during the day.
I had been sending my mom texts daily to let her know I was OK. We had a codeword of Barney that I used when I was traveling.
Hey Mom, doing ok, Barney and I are safe, will call when I can
After I got setup at the campground I tried to see if I could pack my lawn chair on the scooter, and it was pretty good. I ended up heading into the drive-in and watching a movie before heading back to the campground for the night.
Good thing I paid for two days, I slept in really late, it was after noon before I rolled out of bed, and after I reserved tickets for the gateway arch that afternoon, it was close to 2 pm when I pulled out.
I was beginning to fall into a routine of things, coffee, email, blog and vlog, feed the cat, change diaper and then go out and explore where I was. I’d shoot videos of my adventures during the day and edit in the evening and upload overnight.
I stopped into the office to let them know I was heading out and checked out.
“Heading out?” Jim said
“Yep gonna dump the tanks, fill up on water and head into St. Louis and do the arch and then move on down the road.” I said
“Well enjoy your trip, and stay safe out there” Jim said
I dumped the waste tanks on the RV and filled up with clean water.
I pretty much decided that I would be in diapers as much as I could. I was a thin, young, athletic guy. So when I decided to wear 24/7 and dress in my toddler looking clothes it was still cute looking. I could easily pass for 13 to 14 years old.
Having an RV, I didn’t really need to make reservations far in advance, as when I got tired, there was always a truck stop, Walmart, home depot or lowes parking lot that you could stop and catch a power nap. I found if you stopped into the store, and asked nicely if you could park there for a few hours the managers were nice, most of the time.
By the fourth day out on my adventure I started to become less caring about how I dressed. At first I would just wear jean shorts and a plain white or black onsie with a t-shirt or hoodie on. By the end of that first week I was wearing whatever suited my fancy. Dino print onsie and red denim shortalls, you name it.
I entered Missouri and pulled off to the gateway arch where I was able to park for a few hours. I saw the gateway arch, which I went up in, the old courthouse and more. About 5:30 I headed out towards my next stop, a RV park near St. Robert MO. The next morning I went up the road to a tourist trap called Uranus. The best fudge comes from Uranus. They also had an indoor shooting range which I took advantage of too before I headed out down the route.
I got through Carthage Missouri and drove past another nice drive-in but didn’t stop because there was no place to pull off and take a photo…. The owners of the properties have made it impossible to stop.
I continued on down the historic Route 66, which leaving Missouri turned onto a back road, to what looked like a residential neighborhood… the state line into Kansas was nothing more that a wooden sign that said STATE LINE; and just like that I was in Kansas. I left the residential area going along the narrow 2 lane road (that is being generous). It was a good thing this RV is light as the rickety bridge over the railroad tracks scared me.
I come up the road into Galena KS where I stopped and did a vlog and photos at a place called Cars on the Route. Then onto Riverton to Eislers General Store, . I continued up the road to Baxter springs where I stopped at their visitors center to stretch my legs. The volunteer basically talked my ears off about being the inspiration for Tow Mater from Cars, whatever.
I had called ahead and got a campsite outside of Baxter Springs for the night. It was an ok place for the night. Had electric, I didn’t bother to connect my water and sewer, I just needed power. I woke up the next morning same routine, got some fuel on the way out of town and onward into Oklahoma.
The plan was to get through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and finally into Arizona to the Grand Canyon, where I will camp for a few days or possibly longer. I figured it should take me almost 2 weeks to get out there. I can stay for a few nights before finishing the route in Santa Monica California.
Since I had not really ‘setup camp’ the night before I was on the road before 9:00 AM. I visited the world’s largest Totem Pole and the Blue Whale. One stop at The Nut House, the Outsiders Museum home. Visited the Adrmiral Twin Drive-in with it’s new screen – though too early for a movie.
I stopped a few other places, but the afternoon was drawing close and I needed to make it to tonight’s camping spot.
I had waited till about June 15th before I called my mom to talk to her about my disappearance. I had stopped off in a small town in Oklahoma called Stroud early for the day, I setup my campsite and quickly got to editing the day’s video. While it rendered, I took the time to call my mom.
I dialed the number and it rang a few times before it was answered. “Hello… Just a moment” I heard as I could tell she was walking out of the room
“Hey mom” I said sheepishly knowing that I was going to get the inquisition of a lifetime
“Hey honey” She said. “Why did you just up and leave like you did, you didn’t even say goodbye to your father and I?” She asked sounding concerned
“I had to make a clean break, I didn’t want to tell one person and have the rumors get around, and it’s not like dad would even care. He hasn’t talked to me since he threw me out of the house.” I said
“How much did you win, did you win that 250 million jackpot?”
“I won enough that I don’t have to worry about money for a long time, and it is nobody’s concern how much it was. Let’s just keep it at ‘enough to be happy’ ” I said
“Ok, that’s fine. I just want you to be happy. Where are you at now? Your last video had you in Illinois going into Missouri?” She asked
Not wanting to give away my exact location I said “I am somewhere in Oklahoma, not going to say specifically though, it’s for the best.”
“I saw in that last video you were dressed different. What’s with the childish clothing? You look like a big toddler”
“Well you know mom, when I was growing up and wet the bed till I was 15. Well I really stopped around when I was 12. I just liked wearing diapers, and knew if I was still wetting them, you and dad would keep buying them. I only stopped at 15 because I wanted to be able to go on that rafting trip. I know you found the odd diaper here and there after that and never said anything about them.”
“Yeah I just thought you had stopped and when I found those other diapers I thought that you were still needing them every now and then” My mom said
“Deep inside me, I’m just a big toddler at heart, I enjoy my stuffed animals, dressing in cute outfits as you can see, watching cartoons, coloring and just not being an adult. I also plan to remain in diapers 24/7 for as long as I want to as well”
“Whatever makes you happy honey. You do you!” She said
We switched the phone call to a video chat and I showed her around the RV and the cat had to get in the video too. We talked for probably an hour about what my plan was, that I was staying safe, and that it is important that she not share any information other than what is seen on the videos that are posted to the public.
I cooked over the campfire that night and then sat outside under the stars for a couple hours before going to bed. This was starting to be a fun trip. I had been chatting with some other ABDL’s for awhile now and hoped to meet up with a few along the way.
Next day Onward towards Oklahoma City and Texas.
I would just drive for maybe a two hundred miles a day, stopping at quirky spots and places on the road, shooting some video of these places and then stopping for the day, shooting some video in the RV, uploading videos to my YouTube and other video sites. Always about 3 or more days delayed.
Really nobody said anything about the toddler look, sure I got some looks, raised eyebrows, girls would snicker and such, little kids would stare. One town in the middle of the Texas panhandle where I stopped to fuel up the RV on diesel and propane, and fill the gas in the motorcycle/scooter.
I had went in to find somebody to fill my propane, and this ‘good ol boy / redneck hick’ looked at me funny and said. “Are you some sort of retard dressing like a little kid” Bubba (that’s what we’ll call him) said
“Nope, this is just the way I dress” I replied back
“Where’s your parents or your group at?”
“Huh! I am an adult, I’m 25. I got here on my own” I said
“Well you could have fooled me, I thought you were about 15 and special needs” Bubba said
“Nope just a young adult being myself and traveling the country”
“Well enjoy your trip and be safe, that’s some fatherly advice cause there’s some people who might not be so nice” he said, making me wonder how nice it was to ask if I was retarded. “Did your pa teach you to defend yo self?”
“Yes very well, expert marksmanship here, and always packing, got it stuffed into my diaper”
He started busting up laughing. “That’s good buddy, just be safe” He said
We parted ways and I headed outside to pull around to get my propane and to my next destination. Which was not going to be too far. I had my first breakdown on the road. Ugh!!
